Leslie Mann in Talks for "Vacation" Sequel as Audrey Griswold

Leslie Mann in Talks for "Vacation" Sequel as Audrey GriswoldSubmit Comment
Leslie Mann (This is 40) is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming "Vacation" sequel, which already has Ed Helms (The Hangover) and Christina Applegate (Anchorman) on board, and has Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses) negotiating for roles.

In the new movie, Helms stars as Rusty Griswold, the grown-up son of Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) who takes his family on a road trip similar to the one he, his parents and his sister took when he was young.

Mann will play the sister, Audrey Griswold. She's married to Hemsworth's character, who is an up-and-coming anchorman named Stone Crandall.

Any news if Chevy will cameo, surely he will right? Hell even Christie Brinkley would be a nice touch and for 60 years old, I give her the once over!!

My favourite is where Beverly D'Angelo is showing her tits!

Without Chevy Chase this will bomb very, very very hard.

Leet me guess, Leslis Mann's husband directs this turd, right?

She does look like Beverly D'Angelo, though, which means she looks like a middle-aged screeching harlot without much use beyond rendering Griswold an inert, impotent white-man father figure...

f*cking Leslie Mann.. I f*cking HATE Leslie Mann!!
Who's idea was this?
Is Judd Apatow involved in this?
Who would even consider her in a movie unless he's involved?

What's wrong with the ORIGINAL cast?!

Anthony Michael Hall can still pull it off IMO...

Dana Barron is still hot (Hotter than Mann)...

Beverly D' Angelo & Chevy Chase have a few more miles in them for the cameos...

Eugene Levy...Randy Quaid...

Hell, you could still bring up the-still-foxy Christine Brinkley & make father AND son drool over her angle!!

There's still nostalgia they can squeeze out on this franchise...but big surprise, the hacks-in-suits just don't know.

And with this new cast?!...meh.

Just leave this dead horse alone. The original is a classic. Let it be. All the sequels were just the same jokes all over again with a slight difference.....and son of a bitch, this is how Hangover got two sequels.

From what I read about Chase as he left Community was that he's got a pretty serious drug problem with pain pills, or "back pills" as he called them. He would actually nod off during takes all the time. That's sad because it's pretty typical and called a "narcotic nod." He was a very good "medium talent" once upon a time ago. If my family owned Chase Manhattan bank I could have probably been funny in 3 or 4 films. The original Vacation was so good that Chase has ridden it's coat tails an awful long way. And the original was so successful because everyone has been there on a family "vacation" that requires lots of scotch just to make it through it. The Christmas one also resonated with everyone. I enjoyed that one too. But we should just let it go. Stop beating this poor dead horse before we're offered an NFL contract.
