"Terminator" Getting Two More Sequels, Release Dates Revealed

"Terminator" Getting Two More Sequels, Release Dates RevealedSubmit Comment
We've been hearing that the rights to the "Terminator" franchise will revert back to James Cameron in 2019. The plan has always been to make at least three more installments before that happens, but because things were delayed for so long, the plan changed to two films.

Paramount Pictures will release the first new film, "Terminator Genisys," on July 1st, 2015 and studio just announced that a sequel will follow on May 19th, 2017. But in a surprise move, it turns out that Paramount will squeeze in a third film on June 29th, 2018.

Details are still limited, but it's believed that the last two installments will be shot back-to-back.

"Terminator Genisys" is directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung Hun Lee and Matt Smith.

Greeeattttt. Two sequels to a film that in all likelihood will suck major donkey ass. They should wait to see if this one is any less of a turd bomb than Arnie's other turd bombs.

Greedy stupid f*cks, making three garbage films with Granpanator just so the rights do not go back to Cameron. Rather him make nothing than them make three helpings of sh*t. Bet ya Genisys, which sounds like cyborg toothpaste, bombs, Cameron gets the rights and produces with a director to make a good sequel/reboot. Or he makes nothing. Either way has to be better than this trash.

Christ, let it go already. Dude's 80 and the plot is totally whored out.

T1 and T2 are the only worthy Terminator movies. The others are piece of sh*t.

Milk every single last dime from the teet of this franchise.

I love to see a dead horse beaten.....and beaten....and beaten.

The final scene of the last film will be Maria Schriver popping into frame, saying "you're terminated f*cker" and blasting ex hubby Arnie.

Arnie, to prove once and for all why he's the king will f*ck the entire catering staff that day before his shoulders hit the ground.

These will be cancelled as soon as geriatric genisys bombs.

Mink/Boogiel -

You two are a pair of self righteous idiots.

IF Cameron will direct any other Terminator, I trust him enough that he will Not to hire that old fart Arnie!

He was absolutely dreadful in Sabotage and I really can't imagine an aging Cyborg in the next one. Retire already and enjoy your fleet of supercars of yours.

I'm currently watching Midnight Run, still funny after all these years and I always liked Charles Grodin. Funny middle age bloke with his dry and black sense of humour.

Time really flies... doesn't it?

In other news, I'm so f*cking happy for Hamilton to get the pole position in just One lap on Q3 beating Rosberg for more than 3/10 of sec!

Go Lewis, GO!

@bullitt

Yeah Midnight Run is a great example of a GOOD De Niro comedy, this upcoming Filthy Grandpa tripe sounds awful.

^ ^ Yeah Deaf, not to mention Joe Pantoliano he was quite funny and I spotted him in The Matrix too and in The Sopranos.

Good funny second lead.

I just noticed one thing about the soundtrack: it's very similar with "Thelma & Louise"thanks to Ridley Scott!

@tanman sounds like an interesting yet unexpected ending. but I think a lot of people would be pretty pissed fanboys and critics. but no doubt would be different than what we would expect. personally they should find what started and find a cure from there only to realize its to late. that this is our ending as the dinosaurs once met there's.
Dark17 writes:

on topic. is this sequel or reboot like sriously wtf is this supposed to be? the last decent one was judgement day.
Deaft0ne writes:

@dark

Even though I think you're a turd, I will respond to your post.

I don't see how 2 more movies after Genisys can be any good and to serve as logical contributions to the Terminator story/franchise.

Also calling the next 2 movies 'Terminator 2' and 'Terminator 3' is technically allowed because the original 2 sequels had the subtitles of Judgment Day and Rise of the Machines so it strikes me as a d*ck move.

We will see how this new ashcan trilogy measures up but my hopes are low.
Dark17 writes:

deafturd that doesn't my question. is this a sequel to salvation or no?
Deaft0ne writes:
on September 6th, 2014 at 9:41:41 PM

@dark

It remains in the same continuity. It does not ignore the last 4 films.
Dark17 writes:
on September 6th, 2014 at 10:04:32 PM

so its a prequel?
Deaft0ne writes:
on September 6th, 2014 at 10:11:41 PM

@dark

Supposedly it's an interquel between T2 and T3, it tries to circ*mvent the machine war.
