"The Wolf of Wall Street" Actress Margot Robbie in Talks for "Ghost in the Shell"Submit Comment
DreamWorks has been working on a live-action adaptation of the popular manga "Ghost in the Shell" since 2009, when "Shutter Island" writer Laeta Kalogridis signed on to provide the screenplay.

Then an entire five years later, it was announced that the script was re-written by William Wheeler (Hoax) and that the film was a top priority for Steven Spielberg. To push things forward, "Snow White and the Huntsman" helmer Rupert Sanders was hired to direct. The plan is to shoot in 3D.

And now comes word that "The Wolf of Wall Street" star Margot Robbie is in talks to star in the film.

"Ghost in the Shell" follows the exploits of a member of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting technology-related crime.

Not really sure what they were going with here, Should have taken another route that doesn't offer affectations of bullsh*t.

Margot robbie....I really don't care what she is in, I just want more of her. Especially if she's doing this:

I'm waiting for them to make a Cowboy Bebop movie so they can totally f*ck that one up, too. And Akira. Because we all know culturally contextually anime translates well to Hollywood's big noise and bright lights machine. But they'll paint the damned thing six miles deep in dark, gritty and realistic, so it's not like anyone will even know it's a GITM movie anyway, aside from the name, and the Japs will immediately disown it like they did Emmerich's sh*tty Godzilla.

Anyway, here's five bucks betting it never gets made. That or it's so goddamned terrible everyone wishes it was never made like that horrendous Garbageball Garbaglution movie.

Yeah, that was an awesome adaptation of Japanese anime.

Not.

Hey, Hollywood, can you PLEASE adapt Metropolis so I can finally see one of my favorite anime totally ass-raped for the sheer f*cking hell of your love of money?

Please?!

Couldn't they at least get a Japanese or Japanese-American actress?

@mink
They have been trying to make a Cowboy Bebop film for years and Keanue Reeves has been up for the role of Spike.
Cannon writes:

Keanu Reeves is too old to play Spike now. Hell, at this point Keanu Reeves is too old to play Keanu Reeves.

@Cannon
Eh, he keeps himself in shape and given Spike's tough past, the worn look might work.

Well, we've already seen her titties and crotch, so I don't know what's the big deal. She's going to run into the same disinterest and ambiguity Charlize Theron had with Aeon Flux.

BTW, I'm glad they said it was Margot Robbie and not Margot Kidder.

If you're going to do this sh*t to be in movies just go all in and become the next Sasha Grey. At least she was honest about why she was licking toilets and getting gangbanged.

And we've just recently seen how well Hollywood handled the 47 Ronin. I'm sure they will do just as splendidly with this much beloved manga. And lets not forget Hollywood's take on the Last Airbender which actually caused some fans to kill themselves in the parking lot of the theaters. Bravo TinselTown. Bravo.

Rupert Sanders is no fool. If he's going to be getting head from the lead actress he's going to cast primo high class ass. I bet Margot Robbie doesn't usually suck d*ck for less than a grand....unless you're the director of the film. Right Bella? Bella?
