Stan Lee Says Marvel's "Black Panther" is Happening

Posted: September 2nd, 2014 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Stan Lee Says MarvelSubmit Comment
It's not clear how much Stan Lee knows about Marvel's movie strategy, but every time he's asked to comment on future films, he responds as if every secret is shared with him.

On Friday, the comic book creator spoke at Fan Expo Canada, where he was asked if Marvel will ever make a "Black Widow" film. He said: "The chances are she will have her own movie because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies. They are already working on 'Ant-Man,' 'Doctor Strange' and the 'Black Panther,' and there are others I am not allowed to talk about."

Judging by that response, he's not sure about "Black Widow," but "Black Panther" is definitely happening. After all, he grouped it with "Ant-Man" and "Doctor Strange," two films we know are in development.

There hasn't been a lot of news about "Black Panther," but Marvel has teased the character in "Iron Man 2" and the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Question: Do you want to see a "Black Panther" film?

Well that's great news for all the angry racist black Americans who can't watch the white man's movies without bitching about the dearth of melanin.

Probably won't be nearly as good as Blade 1, but hey, what is?

As for Stan Lee...shut the f*ck up already.

Stan lee and Michael Caine should get a room. Too old men with nothing better to do than spill rumors and sh*t they're not supposed to discuss. Christ.

As for Black Panther...sounds about as exciting as caterpillar crap. At least Blade was rated R and so was worth the time for an adult. A kiddie-rated BP movie on the other hand isn't doing much for the grown folks.

Hard R, bitch, or go the f*ck home.

Meh...I am inclined to think that Stan Lee knows about as much about Marvel's plans as Ronald McDonald knows about the next time the McRib will resurface.

I don't know. What is Black Panther? What does he do exactly? Never heard of the f*cker.

Id rather see a Black Widow spin-off first before a Black Panther film (for obvious reasons) but if-and-when they do decide to adapt the latter Im wondering if Marvel with given in to PC pressure and hire an African American to direct, like John Singleton or Antoine Fuqua or Lee Daniels.

My vote? Mario Van Peebles.

You must be thinking of the Black tranny hooker he was caught with back in the 90s.

Good ol' Hugh.

I somehow think that since this whole Marvel Universe has taken off, they wouldn't dare making a film with a rating higher than a 12a considering all the kids that are probably heavily involved are gonna wanna see every hero film that comes out. I bet that's one of the reasons that Edgar Wright left Ant Man as he's never been one for making kids films. It's a shame really considering the potential for ass, titties and violence a lot of these titles have.

Make a movies based ON the Black Panthers instead!

Just read the Wiki entry for the Black Panther. His back story is fairly booring and his powers and abilities seem to be on par with Captain America but with a much more unrealistic and convoluted back story (Not saying Cap'n's powers are realistic, but much more so than BP's). I am sure they will try to weave gold out of crap but with such an underwhelming character, good luck.

Canon,

I think it would be the perfect role for Djimon Hansou!

I just wanna see Marvel do a good Punisher movie. Not that the last two were horrible, like Daredevil, but they just didn't do that character and story justice imo. The Punisher is Marvels batman and just need to figure out how to get the job done right.
Papillon writes:

@Lawman

Or Idris Elba, I know he's desperate!
Papillon writes:

You God damn right about Man on Fire! I can't stop watching this film in its entirety just to witness hod bad ass Denzel can be by taking one by one those f*ckers!

The ending could've been different but his character was bound to give his life for a more precious one.

I'm not going to lie: I really felt for Denzel. (no f*cking homo here!)

Great film

lawman writes:

Cram,

You might be right. Plus, Black Panther would have to film a lot in Africa as that's where the character hails from. Djimin pours sweat in a walk in freezer so Africa would NOT work for him!
lawman writes:

As for Punisher, the last one was great. As a life long Punisher fan and comic reader, it was as close to the comic as they've come yet.

What I PERSONALLY want is a rated R Lobo film! He Is the ONLY character I think, can hold a candle to any other as far as bad ass-ness goes!

Also, aside from The Equalizer, this is a **VERY** dull month for movies. There is really nothing else coming out that's worth seeing but that. A Walk Amongst The Tombstones looks halfway decent but i'll probably wait til it's on video.

Knowing Stan "The Scam" Lee, he's gonna have a cameo as either:

a. A plantation owner.
b. The Grand Dragon
c. Adolph Hitler
or
d. Joe Quesada

- only if they are in a shed with two pistols, an angry Viet gook spinning the barrels and they both play russian roulette until one of them dies.

- Well, every comic book geek knows that Stan Lee secretly skullf*cked the corpse of Jack Kirby, so that he could stay at Marvel as a writer.
Max Rockatansky Junior writes:

I only can hope Stan Lee can die horribly in the following scenarios:

1. Catching the ebola virus.
2. Catching SARS.
3. Catching AIDS.
4. During a car crash into a ravine and hitting a tree.
5. During a Walmart semi plowing his limo.
6. Being kidnapped by ISIL and getting beheaded in front of a videotape.
7. Choking during auto-erotic asphyxiation.
8. Choking to death in a closet with his belt.
9. Overdosing in front of the Viper Room.
10. Shooting up a speedball of cocaine heroin in Bungalow 3.
11. He costars with Rob Schneider than takes a pistol and blows out his brains.
12. He joins a cult and they guy him like a flounder, writing cryptic messages on the wall in his blood.
13. He gets impaled.
14. He gets bludgeoned in his sleep with a tire iron and then gets an electrical cord tied tightly around his neck.
15. Having an art deco dildo shoved down his throat, causing him to choke on his own blood.
