20th Century Fox just unveiled the trailer for its upcoming "The Pyramid" suspense thriller, which is produced by Alexandre Aja (director of "The Hills Have Eyes") and stars Ashley Hinshaw, James Buckley, Denis O'Hare, and Christa-Marie Nicola. Check it out below.

Plot: In "The Pyramid," the ancient wonders of the world have long cursed explorers who've dared to uncover their secrets. But a team of US archaeologists gets more than they bargained for when they discover a lost pyramid unlike any other in the Egyptian desert. As they unlock the horrific secrets buried within, they realize they aren't just trapped, they are being hunted.

The new movie is set to hit theaters on December 5th.

This actually look interesting as long as it isn't found footage. Didn't watch the trailer.

*looks like a hybrid of narrative cinematography and found footage sh*t without the grainy cam crap. Might be decent. Aja does decent work on a low-mid budget.

Max, outside the obvious, do you even like movies?

Please, for the lame, name a few that you actually enjoyed.

He may have enjoyed the original Mad Max.

Complete speculation here.

Trigg,

There are a LOT of people on here who seem to dislike everything, no matter how its done or what its about. They find fault anywhere they can. Directors who have won awards, made 100's of millions, are obviously where they are because their formula works, are "utter sh*t", "a moron", or " a talentless hack". There are people on here RIGHT NOW who feel that they could do better, if they just leave their "computer guy" career. These people SINCERELY believe this. The go to defense is something along the lines of "these movies are for the dumb masses, or for people who dont expect much". But the reailty is, these directors "Sell out" to make a living. NO ONE (very few) goes into film to make sh*tty movies that make big money. They are called artists for a reason. But when some of the sheeple on here see that the general tone of this site is "you aint cool unless you hate everything", they naturally follow along and trash eveything with little to no knowledge about what they speak. I remember when you posted on here much more. writing about the theater(s) you owned and actually talking about movies bad AND good. I would imagine someone who actually IS in the industry, like yourself, have just tired of the baby bullsh*t on here and this is why you dont come around much. There are only a few of us left on here who have the balls to actually DARE like something Alex posts on here. Too bad the pussies on here are driving the likes of you away. Its an intellectual loss for sure.

Law

Well said fella, I feel exactly the same way! Been off here for a week or so whilst I relax by a pool in Spain! But, managed to rangle wifi, and yet again it's the same bollocks on here, same people, same sh*t, it's boring!

As for the trailer, it looks promising, Aja's Hills was a solid movie, so I'm looking forward to this

Looks ok...very "The Descent-ish".. even though the acting and first half of that film was crap. I stilled enjoyed the last hour+, so this film looks watchable.
