Paramount Pictures just unveiled the first photos from the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr story, called "Selma," which stars David Oyelowo (The Butler, Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Tom Wilkinson, Tim Roth, Common, Cuba Gooding Jr, Oprah Winfrey, and Giovanni Ribisi. Check everything out below.
Plot: the story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's historic struggle to secure voting rights for all people – a dangerous and terrifying campaign that culminated with the epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, and led to President Johnson signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
The new movie is directed by Ava DuVernay and is set to hit theaters on December 25th. It will then expand to a wider release on January 9th, 2015.
