Looks like they put half assed effort into a property that could have been great. In the Conjuring the doll was possessed by a demon. Now it looks like a weak ass ghost. Not as scary. Looks like a watered down Chucky rip off. Hopefully it's much better than the trailer.

Great. Next, they gonna make Chucky vs Annabelle crossover.
I haven't seen a good American horror film for years. All the best stuff seems to be coming out of Spain and Japan at the moment.
Scariest English speaking thing I've seen recently was American Horror Story, first few episodes of seasons 1 and 2 before you start to know the characters were proper old school horror... suspenseful, eerie and chilling. No one getting chased around with a guy in a mask wielding a meat cleaver.
I know that James Wan is trying to do "old school horror" with The Conjuring and Insidious but they're both really terrible. We need a good director to make a good film out of a good script. Please.

@cinemaisdead completely agree 1st season of AHS is absolutely brilliant. Zachary Quinto and Dylan Mcdermott did an outstanding job. Even Evan Peters began to rub off on me. But James cromwell blew me away in the second season I'm def looking forward to the 4th. "No one getting chased around with a guy in a mask wielding a meat cleaver." That santa claus in the asylum I do recall was chasing that women around wielding some sort of weapon but yeah I get the point.
I watched Oculus the other night it certainly scared the sh*t out of my girl hah and the premise surprisingly had much more to offer then I expected. 30 minutes in it obviously became a let down but it really had a lot of potential. It's kind of sad the best horror cinematic experience we get is through cable television.

Yo mama is so ugly when she plays Mortal Kombat Scorpion yells "STAY OVER THERE!"
alleyg21- Yeah the not being chased around was more of a reference to Season 1, obviously Season 2 had bloody face and he was the epitome of slasher but even that was done a lot better than the majority of similar films out there and created an actual character for him instead of some mystical guy that doesn't die.
