Sylvester Stallone Started Training For "Rambo 5"

Sylvester Stallone Started Training For "Rambo 5"Submit Comment
Sylvester Stallone is probably one of the best in Hollywood in creating jobs for himself. He did it with "Rocky," "Rambo" and now with "The Expendables," which has already completed three installments.

Even though the actor has plenty of opportunities to do other movies, he would rather return to what he knows best, which is his "Rambo" franchise. In a new interview with Vulture, Stallone revealed that he's currently working on "Rambo 5."

"I'm getting ready for that," he said. "I'm starting to work out. I'm going to be appropriately vicious and all that stuff, but intellectual. A killer with a heart."

Stallone previously considered going the sci-fi route with "Rambo 5," but it was recently confirmed that the film would be similar to "No Country For Old Men" and feature Rambo facing off against a Mexican drug cartel.

Retire already, old man, your bitch tits are starting to compete with your balls for lowest hanging fruit.

"Sylvester Stallone is probably one of the best in Hollywood in creating jobs for himself."

That's a really polite way of saying no one else will hire him. Kind of like "that homeless guy is really good at flipping real estate", when in reality he's rolling his cardboard box from one side of the freeway underpass to another.

Yeah, nothing says intellectual and full of heart like a savage psychotic whack job blowing dozens of people in half with a 50 caliber machine-gun.

Seriously, I think the HGH and steroids have fossilized Sly's brain, what he had to begin with anyway.

It's gonna be Rambo with cane and reading glasses.Apparently, Stallone’s career today is entirely fuelled by nostalgia.

As long as he doesn't p*ssy out with some sh*t PG-13 bollocks then I'm game!

Sly lost all my respect after giving the expendables 3 a pussified pg13 rating.
Just retire and go play golf already.

I wonder who's going to milk their franchises for every last drop of j*zz they can slurp down more:
Schwartzenegger or Stallone ?

Older actors used to have class and die of cancer or something else ... or officially retire. Or hang themselves in a closet. Or do auto-erotic asphyxiation.

But not old "Italian Grey Mare" .... nope. Old glue factory reject just keeps pumping out movies like he thinks he's still in The Lords of Flatbush.

Amazing. Stallone went from working in the *porno business to pimping himself out in his AARP years.

*(1970) The Party at Kitty and Stud's aka The Italian Stallion.

** Guess when he was punching cows in the locker with Paulie, he was metaphorically jacking off at Kitty and Stud's.

John Rambo was originally a trained soldier who was trying to reintegrate into society and live in peaceful existence. **First Blood ...

Obviously, Sly and the Family Gallstones f*cking forget this when he's coming up with Rambo v Mars Attacks!

Sly is the troll of the action genre community.

I hate to admit it but, this is one time I agree with Quentin Tarantino. John Rambo should have died at the end of First Blood. Just like in the novel. The story is supposed to be a tragedy. The tragedy of these f*cked up vets being sent home with their noodle scrambled permanently. They just can't ever reintegrate into society.

fair play where its earned! Sly is a living legend, his like will be missed when its gone! You can all moan all you want, but in 20 years these "heroes" will not be around and no-one to carry the torch, just sparkly vampires/wizards/some dude in a skin tight costume.....
BJsforeveryone writes:

I fear this will not be as good as John Rambo which was better than First blood !
Yearh, You heard me, BETTER THAN FIRST BLOOD !!

@jamieC - totally agree

I'm not sure this is a good idea, not because of Sly's age but because the last (excellent) movie finished off the series so well, bringing it full circle etc.

But then again, who really cares if the new movie bombs, if it does, I'll just pretend it doesn't exist and never watch it again like the 5th (awful) Die Hard movie and if it's a success great, I'll add it to my collection - no big loss either way.

Duh, it's going to be a variation of that "daughter kidnapped by drug cartel" sh*t that's already been leaked when it could be something relevant and timely instead. Old fart.
lawman writes:

^^

Should be Rambo, trying to live his life in peace finally, it also sticks with the theme of most of the Rambo movies, when he has ok choice. He's chilling in Mexico, on a small no name town, when the Cartels come in due to it's location to the border. They f*ck with him one too many times, and, well, he does the lords work!
lawman writes:

Thing is, it's what it is, action. No Rambo movies have had award winning scripts. It's not what we watch them for. We watch them for the R rating, to see sh*t get killed, things blown up, sh*t get killed by BEING blown up, and guys get punched to death. Stick with the formula, there is enough of us still left who are perfectly happy with the occasional mindless action flick.
Tanman32123 writes:

Yeah! I want me some good old pointless bullets flying everywhere type of action flick! ^

I wouldn't be surprised if Rambo 5 ends up being PG-13.
