Bruce Wayne's Age in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Revealed

Thanks to a bunch of photos and videos from the set of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," we've seen what Ben Affleck will look like as Bruce Wayne. Which is why it's strange that numerous websites claim that the character will be in his 50s.

Now, in a new interview, producer Michael Uslan defended Affleck's casting and in the process revealed how old Bruce Wayne/Batman is meant to be. "We've been through this I don't know how many times already. Every time a director makes a creative, out-of-the-box-thinking decision on casting, it tends to get this," he said. "I remember even the 'Iron Man' guys got it on Robert Downey Jr initially. Of course, we got it intensely when another genius, Chris Nolan, chose Heath Ledger to play the Joker. And it was a huge outcry: 'How can a guy who just played a gay cowboy play the Joker? You’re going to destroy the greatest villain ever, this is going to be a laugh.'"

Uslan continued: "So, this has happened time and again, and it happened with Affleck. To go back to the original thought of Bruce Wayne in his mid-40s, I think he's going to be extraordinary."

Right. Because Ben Affleck looks like he's in his fifties.

Reason #5,658,894 this movie will suck.

I like how this guy compares casting some loser everyone knows has no acting potential with the Iron Man casting of RDJ, who CAN act pretty well, and the casting of Heath Ledger as the Joker who did a great job just because he died doing it and the media made him into a sympathetic spectacle. Sure. So I guess when someone casts Pauly Shore as Spawn we're supposed to shut the f*ck up because that's a creative out-of-the-box decision and thus it's immediately equivalent to the methodology of accomplished film-makers, which excludes Zack imo.

Bruce Wayne's Age in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Revealed

Lemme guess: Younger than a mountain but older than a loaf of bread left out to mold. Who f*cking cares .... Mork is Dead, Orson.

Really, the only reason they would even have to defend Ben is if they think that fanboys are not going to buy the fact that a boy outta "Southie" is going to play an older, more Manhattan version of a billionaire ... it's going to be like taking one of The Little Rascals and making them, say, Deadpool ... or Ryan Reynolds playing a superhero ever again.

@mink

Regardless of the hype that ensued after Ledger's death, there was outcry in casting choice for the exact reason mentioned above.

People could not fathom an actor going from Brokeback Mountain to trying outdo Nicholson's take on the character.

Greatest villain!?!? Say whaaaa???
1st off he ain't no Hans Gruber
2nd Jack was a much better portrayal of the character. Even Nolan thought that Heath sounded ridiculous even comparing him to a ventriloquist. And really the joker didn't look like he was a frequent visitor to the local methadone clinic. Its just he went out of the box too far out field. Even Nicholson told him to be careful.
3. This "news?" if you wanna call it that is a perfect example of how lazy Alex has become with this site. Just blindingly fisting in a hat to post on WP as if it was dp's ass.
4. Joker ain't no mutha f*cking Hans Gruber
5. Brolin or Hamm would have so kick ass in this role
