Mel Gibson Discusses a Return to Directing

Mel Gibson Discusses a Return to DirectingSubmit Comment
In a new interview, Mel Gibson was asked whether he has any plans to direct or fund any more movies, like he did with "Passion of the Christ" and "Apocalypto."

"Of course," he said about wanting to direct another film. "It's difficult because you have to spend a couple of years of your life doing it. Whatever it is you're going to do, you have to make sure it's going to mean something because it's too much effort. But I've got a few ideas that I'd like to fool around with."

Gibson went on to talk about difficulties of funding certain projects. "Nobody would fund 'Apocalypto' or 'Passion [of the Christ],' so I had to do it myself," he recalled. "But I'm out of the business now so I have to find something that somebody else wants to fund."

It does seem odd that Mel Gibson can be blackballed & still vilified to this day, but Roman Polanski gets defended. The Jews lambast him while celebrating rapist Roman Polanski and asking for Pollard's release for spying all because they are part of their tribe.

That's good news but as he's blacklisted it's going to be pretty difficult especially after his divorce.

Some people don't forget and forgive that easily obviously.

I wish he made a movie every year.

"I've got a few ideas that I'd like to fool around with."

I've got a few under-aged Korean girls I'd like to fool around with.

It's completely f*cked up that Mel Gibson is apparently blacklisted and can't work much anymore. Despite all the racist sh*t, he's a very talented man and I'm happy to say I'd watch anything he'd direct or star in...

It's gotta be much better than the bullsh*t Michael Bay seems to be pumping out with TMNT and Transformers 4.

@boogiel on it like blu bonnet. But one has to wonder if this karma? Has he run out of mercy. After all mercy is when you f*ck with the universe and it doesn't f*ck with you back.

He should make a movie about a group of black soldiers saving Jews from the Holocaust. Call it 'Hoplites of Hypocrisy'.

Spoiler alert! He's going to direct and star in an upcoming film for my screenplay about the battle for the isle of Malta.

Alec Guinness made that movie already.
