For anyone staying at home, looking to rent a good movie will be pleasantly surprised with the options available.

First up, is the Oscar winner for best animated feature film of the year, "Happy Feet." This is a story of a penguin born without the ability to sing, into the world where penguins use singing to find their soul mates. But what the little one lacks in vocals makes up in moves, as he can tap dance something fierce.

Another story for the entire family is Will Smith's "Pursuit of Happyness," which tells the story of a man and his son, down on their luck, only to turn everything around, thanks to hard work and determination.

If the kids are looking for something that will teach them less about the human world and more about our friends under the sea, then the IMAX film "Deep Sea 3D" is a good option. It is not only a great look at the depth of the ocean, but it is also narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.

In the suspense category, there are plenty of choices as well. There is the talked-about "Children of Men," starring Clive Owen in a movie about a world where women have become infertile, bringing humanity closer to its end. And The horror film "Turistas," which will surprise the fans of the genre with its ability to set a creepy mood and follow it up with blood and gore. A great film and a great choice for a late night.

The sequel to "Van Wilder," entitled "Rise of Taj," is also ready to be bought or rented. But don't expect to see another "Van Wilder," as this version lacks the clever jokes and a clever plot. But Kal Penn fans will still get a kick out of this comedy.

Also available are John Malkovich's "Color Me Kubrick," the stunning "Curse of the Golden Flower" from the makers of "Hero" and "House of Flying Daggers," and Heath Ledger's film "Candy" about a couple who are addicted to heroin as much as each other.

If your DVD cravings are still not satisfied, I suggest checking out "The Shield: Season Five," "Addams Family: Volume 2" and "The After Dark Collection."

Check out the rest of the DVD releases in our "On DVD" section.
