Fox Still Wants Bryan Singer for "X-Men: Apocalypse," Despite Rape Allegations

Fox Still Wants Bryan Singer for "X-Men: Apocalypse," Despite Rape AllegationsSubmit Comment
Before "X-Men: Days of Future Past" was released in theaters, 20th Century Fox announced that it's working on "X-Men: Apocalypse" and will bring back Bryan Singer to direct.

But after the announcement came allegations that Singer raped a 17-year-old boy. The helmer ended up missing the marketing promotion for "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and many started wondering whether Fox is still interested in working with him on "X-Men: Apocalypse."

In a new interview, Fox President Emma Watts said that the studio still wants Singer to return, but refused to confirm that it will definitely happen. "Right now we are at the outlining phase," she explained. "But nothing would make me happier than if it all worked out. It's always been the intention for him to do it."

Some of Bryan Singer's best directing was pointing twinks to the coke on his d*ck.

It's a proof that Hollywood doesn't care for anything except for profit.

That's great they'll probably provide him more young boys

The show must go on

Since when did the movie corporations ever mind rape in their directors ?

Woody Allen and Roman Polanski have been doing it well for years.

Bryan tested with the young 17-year old boy by saying he was playing the mutant "Pokey" that can elongate his penis by placing it between the cheeks and up the anus of a nice, young boy.

I'm surprised no one's murdered this hack yet.

Why would they when they still celebrate Roman Pole-antsy?

Stupid article.

Polanski, at least has f*ckin talent.

@Killerc*ck
His talent only stretches as far as X-Men films from what I fathom.

@mink
After talking about the bomb the other day and what you said about having absolute victory anymore or something I realize that this is sort of related. There is no absolute anymore. I mean come on, Singer has had multiple rape cases against him since the 90's and he still gets work. Why risk that messing with a film? This time they got lucky. Polanski has had years to try and get past the events that made him infamous to the point he is in obscurity. Singer shouldn't be directing this film, he should be facing arraignment or whatever legal jargon involved.
minkowski writes:

Singer has talent too, just not for action.
minkowski writes:

@Sleuth: statute of limitations. You can't arrest someone and apply criminal charges after x amount of time. So a civil suit is the only route. I suspect Singer's quietly paying them off with a stipulation of forgoing any and all civil claims under penalty of some kind of lawsuit.

Really, Hollywood needs to address its problem with homosexuality and child rape, and the sooner the better.

Oh, and Singer. Really good direction in his films. Just poor style and pacing. He did a quality job on The Usual Suspects, but slacked off thereafter. Could be because he was taking on studio projects like X-Men, which tend to cramp a director's talent.

@mink, usual suspects and dofp are really his only goods film but apt pupil which wasn't action was horrible too. Slow and drawn out. As for his allegations' of raping some kid, years ago. I call bullsh*t. Just some twat who prolly wants 15 seconds of fame, and a bundle of cash.
Sleuth1989 writes:

@mink
That's all true but what I meant was morally allowing a guy to direct a film with this on his record. Although your discussion with Boogiel answered that. Hollywood doesn't care.

This is MURICA people. Here, you can literally spike puppy dogs on their head to kill them and still play professional football on TV every weekend. It's cool. The right people got payed and a worthless PSA or two were made. All that matters is the almighty dollar and winning pro football games is directly related to that. So who cares about a few puppies being sh*t slammed face first into the concrete at Mach 2?

And since some of these super hero movies are raking in a cool billion now....what's a little child rape? I'm sure the right people will get paid and a few PSA's will get made. It's all good in the hood of Hollywood yo.

The absurdity of the NFL and Bryan Singer do not even remotely correlate.
