Mark Ruffalo Says Marvel is Finally Considering a New Solo "Hulk" Film

Mark Ruffalo Says Marvel is Finally Considering a New Solo "Hulk" FilmSubmit Comment
After "The Avengers," there have been lots of rumors that Marvel is working on another solo "Hulk" movie, with Mark Ruffalo returning to play the green monster. But the studio has always denied the rumors, claiming that it's not ready to reboot the franchise.

But now, it seems that Marvel is considering another solo film for the first time. "I think they're, for the first time, entertaining the idea of [a standalone Hulk movie]," said Ruffalo. "When we did ['The Avengers'], it was basically 'no.' Now, I think, there's some consideration for it, but nothing definitive or even a skeletal version of what it would be."

The actor explained that Marvel has been hesitant to make another movie because previous adaptations have been less successful than expected. "I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack the nut," he said. "I think the Banner/Hulk storylines [are] obviously not an easy nut to crack."

Considering? Yeah right. That's a polite way to say Hell No.

It's all well and good. But they tried twice with the big green guy and ... I just don't know.

I don't think it is casting the Bruce Banner part. It's the transition and the screen time taken up by the Hulk that audiences have the problem with. Ang Lee tried to go the art house route with a character that looked too much like a computer generated character and given when the first "Hulk" came out, Marvel was still getting its feet wet in the CGI convergence ... the "Incredible Hulk" story tried to pull too much off the TV series (hoping to pull in the older generation that had an affinity and adolescent connection to it), but add Abomination (which wasn't too convincing, no matter how hard Tim Roth tried to build his character before transformation) .... it was still a letdown. As funny and on point The Hulk was in Whedon's Avengers .... it all breaks down into character ..... can they really bring the essence of what makes Ruffalo so spectacular as a character actor in his range of emotion and depth of character through with a CGI hulk for 2 1/2 to 3 hours straight and make an audience believe ? That's the inevitable elephant in the room about all this.

Jesus f*cking christ either make a solo Hulk film for team loser Ruffalo or give up the ghost already.

Not even a skeletal version yet? I'll take a stab at it.

The Hulk will Hulk out and Hulk sh*t up big time. Then Hulk saves the Hulk Day at the Hulky end only to walk his lonesome Hulk self into the Hulking sunset. Cue the Hulk music.

Your welcome Marvel. Now where's my money bitch?
