Today we have the trailer for the upcoming "Frontera" drama, starring Ed Harris, Michael Pena and Eva Longoria. Check it out below. Plot: A former Arizona Sheriff's wife is killed while riding on their Ranch property. It would appear a Mexican man crossing in to the US illegally is at fault. As former Sheriff and current Sheriff search for answers, lives are changed forever. The new movie is directed by Michael Berry, who is making his feature film helming debut. It will be released on VOD on July 31st and then in select theaters on September 5th.

Ed Harris gives this some dignity but, otherwise, it's got VOD written all over it: boringly shot (and color graded) with that default, amateur docudramatic camerawork to look like every other "important immigration" movie.
Someone give Harris the Redford treatment as a Marvel villain or something ...or just put him in a really well-made film.

Let me guess: the illegal is actually the hero and the sheriff framed him for the crime, because we all know that's what whitey does.

*Ghost written by Rush Limbaugh .... or that f*cking bitch who is the governor of Arizona right now.

He must've killed Ed Harris' characters wife by feeding her burritos and Fanta ... then making her pick vegetables out in the hot sun for hours ...
Hey, if a movie's gonna be gringo racist ...

It's just too bad they stole the poster for Brokeback Mountain.

@Max: you need to research this movie, which is really about liberals' love of open borders, i.e., unlimited, free immigration.
Even Ed Harris says that he thinks "the border" is a "preposterous" concept.
Harris: The whole idea of the border in the first place is preposterous, but that’s been in existence for a couple of hundred years. So, what are you going to do?”
This is the kind of truly preposterous sh*t Hollywood pedals, and one wonder if the poster's similarity to Brokeback Mountain is no coincidence since that film did for gay f*cking what this movie seems to be trying to do for "immigration".

I wonder if people realize Mexico has some of the most Draconian border and immigration policies imaginable.
If not, they should talk to that Marine who is sitting in a Mexican jail just for trying to make a u-turn at the border while carrying guns.

Yes, please wade right into Minkowski's little socio-political meatgrinder, where posters are quickly and joyously transformed into pâté.

What if that poster thoroughly agrees with you?
