"Jurassic World" Plot Details Possibly RevealedSubmit Comment
We've heard some of these rumors before, but now that "Jurassic World" is filming, they are popping up online again. This time from JoBlo, which claims to know some of the story details.

Apparently the Jurassic World theme park will contain a lot of dinosaurs, but will also be home to a lab where scientists splice dinosaur DNA with other species. It's one of these hybrids that ends up terrorizing the park.

"According to our source, there will be lots of Dino on Dino fighting, as some of the Dinos are 'good guys' that are trained by Chris Pratt's character," wrote the website. "The raptors and T-Rex are among the 'trained' good dinosaurs. The big bad dinosaur has instant camouflage abilities, like the cuttlefish, so he blends into the background, is smart like the velociraptor, uses his jaw like a snake, and can terrorize like the T-Rex. Does this mean the new dino will be the ONLY 'bad' one? Or will there be more than one? Unconfirmed, but it will be the catalyst that kicks off the peril."

Well Chris Pratt should be entertaining. However this report almost seems kind of cheesy. I almost hope it isn't true. But who knows. It could end up working out. As long as its better than Jurrasic Park 3 for christ's sake.

Training dinosaurs? WTF? Is this Jurassic Park or Monster Rancher??

Pokemon ^

Chris Pratt starts off by training a raptor till it evolves into a T-Rex, then battles the gym leader scientist. Live action Pokemon.

But darker and grittier.

So basically an idiotic horror film instead of Michael Crichton's original thoughtful science fiction, huh?

"Live always finds a way."

So does money, apparently...

This plot sounds sh*tty. I don't want to see dinosaurs fight other dinosaurs, I want to see humans try to escape them. That's the fun part...

All terrible lazy plot devices aside, I would kill to have a trained raptor...

The training Dinosaurs aspect could maaaybe work, if handled with semi-intelligence; I could see Crichton exploring such a concept were he still alive writing book sequels. The splicing to make super-monster dinos, however, is indeed pushing the premise into more outlandish sci-fi horror territory, which, on its own could make a fun movie. Iím just not sure how well all this will mix together, assuming even a word of it is true.

Attos writes:

@Tan
More specifically, the best part is watching humans FAIL at escaping from them.

So they're going back to the stupid original idea that I heard years ago about changing the DNA, except originally I think they were talking about splicing it with a human. So f*cking stupid, its' a film that they could use modern CGI to pay homage to the originals but instead they turn it into some freak show.

"Don't go into the long grass!"

No, f*ck that.
DO go into the long grass! Drape some dead animals around you while you're at it, and put on a blindfold.

I swear I remember an untrue rumor a few years ago about Jurassic Park 4 being about dinosaurs with guns or nukes or something strapped to them.

This is better than that.
Not by a lot, but by enough.
