Harrison Ford in Talks to Return for "Blade Runner 2"Submit Comment
After constantly saying that Harrison Ford will not be brought back for the upcoming "Blade Runner," Alcon Entertainment just released a statement, revealing that it made an official offer to the actor to reprise his role.

"We believe that [writers] Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have crafted with Ridley Scott an extraordinary sequel to one of the greatest films of all time," said Alcon co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. "We would be honored, and we are hopeful, that Harrison will be part of our project."

"Blade Runner 2" will clearly be a sequel to the original film and will once again be directed by Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien, Prometheus). Story details are being kept a secret, but it's been revealed that it will take place several decades after the 1982 original.

...Shouldn't Deckard be dead? Or "off"? Whatever the term for non-working replicant is. I mean I might just be wrong and he was made differently from the rest, but I recall them all having painfully short lives.

More than that, would they even age? Because they're going to have to explain why he looks like a pile of hammered sh*t now.
I don't see why this movie is happening at all, but bringing him back seems like it does more harm to the story than good.

Been a long time since I read the book, let alone watched the movie, but wasn't it subjective whether Deckard was a replicant or not?

@Morbius
It's never explicitly stated in the movie, but between all of the hints provided and the fact that Ridley Scott later plainly stated it, yes he most definitely was a replicant.

His appearance in anchorman 2 was useless

I just hope Blade Runner 12 is as well-constructed and developed as Prometheus. That's all I request.

But no, seriously, let's hope Ford isn't the lead.

lol, it's Back to the Future 2 with Blade Runner 12 and Rocky 19.

No, but really: Blade Runner 2. Or Bald Ruiner Too if they also cast Bruce Willis.

"sequel to one of the greatest films of all time"

Sums up the last decade of filmmaking. Lame sequels yo great films.

^^It's not nearly as great as people claim, and it was something of a failure when it originally debuted, which tells you something. But it's not a bad movie by miles, just not the Second Coming of Jebus people think.

The version that still includes the narration is especially bad.

^^ thanks...I have the directors cut. I think it's a movie like STAR WARS that I needed to see when it came out.
