5-Minute Trailer for "The Flash" TV SeriesSubmit Comment
CW just unveiled a full 5-minute trailer for its upcoming "The Flash" TV series, which is an "Arrow" spin-off and stars Grant Gusti as the popular DC superhero. Check out the trailer below, in addition to the first clip.

Plot: After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only "meta-human" who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion -- and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won't be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become... The Flash.

"The Flash" will premiere on CW this fall.

Um..
I don't feel entirely comfortable saying this, but this looks less like sh*t than I expected. That teaser was still crap, but probably because I had to look at that Arrow douchebag for most of it. Still don't like the suit, and the speed effects still suck. But the show as a whole seems, well.. alright. Not good, but okay. Possibly better than Smallville, at least.

Speaking of Smallville, they seem to be copying the layout of that show. Some big disaster results in hundreds of people somehow gaining these incredibly useful powers, and the one virtuous hero has to run around cleaning up all of the people who misuse that power. Make Flash an alien and give him fifty more powers, and you're watching Smallville.

(By the way, why are the powers always so useful and awesome? Same goes for mutants. Where is the guy who gets the power to excrete feces from his skin, or something equally terrible and useless? Seems like everyone always hits the superpower jackpot.)

And they completely shut down my earlier argument about his suit tearing itself apart. Guess I should have seen it coming. So, I was wrong.

Of all the CW DC shows so far, this looks more fun and interesting. Hated Smallville for the fact that they took what would have been a good premise and crapped on it for far too long. Arrow is ok, but it feels less DC than anything.
But this just feels like a DC live-action show. And I like the cast. Some folks from other shows like J Martin and Cavanagh.
I'll give it a watch.

Wheres mahniggah Wesley Ship?

Hopefully he gets a fresher suit in a season finale or somethin but finally a superhero show with actual superpowers!

Since GA is always getting hailed for its writing
this show will have good stories and action

Looks better than the Constantine trailer. Also, when does Ollie ever use a move like that in Arrow?

Ah the irony of a really long and slow trailer for a character whose one and only salient characteristic is his ability to move extremely quickly....
