First Look: Tom Hanks in "A Hologram for the King" Comedic DramaSubmit Comment
Today we have the first look at Tom Hanks in the upcoming "A Hologram for the King" comedic drama, which is directed by Tom Tykwer, who previously worked with Hanks on "Cloud Atlas." Check out the photo below.

Based on the Dave Eggers book, "A Hologram for the King" tells the story of a washed-up, desperate American salesman (Hanks) who travels to Saudi Arabia to secure the IT contract for a massive new complex being built in the middle of the desert.

The new movie co-stars Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Omar Elba (Intelligence), Tracey Fairaway (Enough Said), David Menkin (Zero Dark Thirty) and Tom Skerritt (Ted, Top Gun).

Cloud Atlas is really not a good reference. Bloody awful film.

Very worldly premise, could be interesting. Dude's looking pretty trim too.

Looks like Hanks took his doctor's advise and lost weight. I mean holy crap he looks like how he did in the 80's almost. Good for you Hanks. On a more direct note, I actually liked "Cloud Atlas". Visually it was a treat and there was even a few moments of genuine human emotion in it. Bring on the concept. Tom Hanks is one of the most consistent actors out there.

Thank god the man lost some weight! Nothing makes me more sad in the world of cinema than to see older actors bloating up, i.e., Matt Damon.

Now Hanks looks trim and fit for his age which means perhaps he'll age with distinction instead of exploding in a gaseous mess on the airfield like the f*cking Hindenburg.

As for the movie....I'd rather watch Bugsy again, which is essentially the same premise.

Lmao. Tom Skerritt. That guy needs something decent to put on his "recent appearances" list.
