Harrison Ford is One of the Leads in "Star Wars: Episode VII"Submit Comment
JediNews says that the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly contains an article about "Star Wars: Episode VII" and some new information that EW says came from sources close to the project.

Apparently there's still a major female lead that has yet to be cast. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford were signed for "Star Wars: Episode VII" before Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012. All three actors have "significant" roles in the movie. And the biggest piece of information is that Han Sono (Ford) is considered a co-lead alongside three of the younger actors.

It likely took a lot to get Ford to reprise his role, since the actor publicly admitted numerous times that he never liked the character. And since he'll now have a major role in "Star Wars: Episode VII," many are assuming that the new movie will build up Han Solo just to kill him. Stay tuned.

Han Sono must be a new character.

I could see his character dying. Wouldn't put it past them.

Considering that Luke and Leia already have bigger "roles" in the previous trilogy, this came as no surprise for me.

Just wonder if he can still capture the charismatic appeal of the character. Indy 4 was terrible in every aspect except Ford's performance. He nailed the part perfectly like he could have done it in his sleep. Hope the same goes for Solo.

I hope they don't make him some bumbling old man that's just there for comic relief. Put him right back in the middle of the action. Ford can handle it. The hair is white but the body is young. Apparently the guy found the Fountain of Youth in marijuana and Calista Flockhart's vagina.

What a way to start off a new trilogy.

Knew this a week ago alex, why didnt u include it in the story with the cast pic? Same day news as that.

On the subject though, id say its a safe bet he dies in episode 7. No doubt they paid him a ton, but the pull for him was that his character dies and he finally will be able to stop answering star wars sequel questions.

He used to shoot first, now he can't even get his pistol up.

Of course he is. This isn't an actual Star Wars movie. It's a fanboy Star Wars movie.

What better way to prove as much by making Han Solo a lead character.
