John Goodman and Ken Watanabe Join "Transformers: Age of Extinction"Submit Comment
Even though "Transformers: Age of Extinction" has been in post-production for several months, Michael Bay just announced that he added John Goodman and Ken Watanabe to the cast. The actors will voice Autobots Hound and Drift, respectively.

"I am pleased to welcome two gifted and versatile actors, John Goodman and Ken Watanabe, to the world of Transformers," said Bay. "And to reteam with [Optimus Prime voice actor] Peter [Cullen] and [Galvatron voice actor] Frank [Welker], who have brought 'Transformers' characters alive from the beginning. I've been fortunate to work with some of the best voice talent in the business, and together we will introduce several exciting new robots to fans of the franchise around the world."

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, and Nicola Peltz. It's set to hit theaters on June 27th.

Good man is going to be the legendary Golden Corral bot. Watanabe will be a ten speed bike with a delivery guy on it and plastic bags on the hand grips!

It's interesting that Leonard Nimoy voiced Galvatron after he was changed by Unicron from being Megatron, who was voiced Frank Welker in the animated film and then Sentinel Prime in Dark of the Moon was voiced by Nimoy and now Welker is voicing Galvatron in Age of Extinction.

voiced *by* Frank Welker

And? They both have evil gravelly alt-voices, so it's fitting they've voiced some evil robots. Who;d you expect? Casey f*cking Kasem?

John Goodman voicing an autobot ? Jeez, I guess Larry the Cable Guy said, "Nope! I'm well off with the Cars franchise and I don't want to taint my vocal genius by getting in the booth again to play a redneck autobot ... "

They normally would've given this work to Ryan Dunn (if he were alive), but they wanted the autobot to be able to be understood and last throughout the entire movie without getting blown up by driving down into an underground parking structure and running into a concrete pylon, then bursting into flames.

Mark Wahlberg's a lead in this movie.

I already can't take this sh*t seriously.

I don't care what anyone says: I'm totally looking forward to this movie. John Goodman as Hound, Ken Watanabe as Drift. Not much better a casting choice could have been made.
