Another vampire series, disguised as a science fiction series ?

I'll skip it. If True Blood and the Vampire Dairies didn't draw my interest, this ain't.

Sorry, Guillermo. Should gone through with Lovecraft instead.

That's a wicked poster right there. Still not sure about the movie, though.

Wow, creepy.

Corey Stoll was amazing in House of Cards.

Vampires and zombies and werewolves change the f*cking record already.

Anyone seen True Detective? Just watched the 4th episode and am loving it. HBO do know how to make a show.

That record has been playing since the dawn of film. Don't see it changing anytime soon. The trick is making it still interesting and that's where companies like HBO and AMC have succeeded.

It's not like True Detective is the first show about 2 polar opposite homicide detectives teaming up to track down a killer.

@Max Rockatansky Junior
In his defense, Del Toro tried to do Lovecraft but he was afraid it was too much like Prometheus. I kind of understand that he didn't want comparisons to another work but he did say last year he'll give it one more try.

"That poster looks like every time I was trippin' balls."

oh the wonderful things I could do with this sentence...

Any who, damned shame this is what del Toro is doing now after so many of his films underperformed. Man has talent, and an aura of menace in his works, so Mountains of Madness would have been perfect for him if he didn't overcook the turkey so to speak, and I like his visual style.

having said that, I'm surprised no one made a comparison of the poster to Prometheus, although that may be a bit too obvious.

Unfortunately, the poster, sporting an unimaginative 80s retro-vibe, looks like a made-for-television Michael Crichton flick.

Oh wait, it is made for television. My bad.

A remake of LifeForce would be even better.

Just saying.
