First Look: Director Duncan Jones on "World of Warcraft" SetSubmit Comment
The 300th issue of Empire magazine has an article about the upcoming "World of Warcraft" movie, based on the popular video game. Along with the article, the magazine also unveiled a look at director Duncan Jones (Source Code, Moon) on set of the film. Check out the photo below.

While plot details have yet to be revealed, we know that the new film stars Ben Foster (Need for Speed), Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol), Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The First Avenger), and Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans).

"World of Warcraft" is set to hit theaters on March 11th, 2016.

While I'm dissappointed by the the flub, I'm looking forward to this flick.
Jones is a good director. Moon is one of the best sci-fi films in recent years, probably the best (sorry Sunshine, but your sh*tty slasher third act was terrible). And Source Code was a great sophomore effort. Though predictable and had a forced ending, the movie is great near future like sci-fi with a top notch performance with Jakey G.

So I'm looking forward to this movie. I'm not a WoW fan nor did I get into the Warcraft series. But it's high budget fantasy by a competent filmmaker - I have to be excited.

@bando I see what you are saying.

Bando's right for a change.

Need for Speed made a whopping 45 million domestically (the PB is 66mil) and barely 186 worldwide. That's terrible performance and they should reconsider who they choose to headline a film that a) is based on a f*cking video game, b) isn't exactly a broad market commodity and c) often played by dateless nerds, which is contrary o the idea dude's might take a chick to see this flick.

Also: all of Foster's films have done pretty poorly, even with big cast leads.

BOMB.

It'll do slightly better than (or equal to) any of the Wrath or Clash or Prince of Persia game-movies. 300+ mil range. At best.

@Zeroguy: Sunshine's third act was a disappointment, and not a very clever denouement for someone as quietly talented as Danny Boyle, and estranged given the the film's remaining thoughtful acts.
