Marc Webb Wants J. Jonah Jameson in "The Amazing Spider-Man 3"

Marc Webb Wants J. Jonah Jameson in "The Amazing Spider-Man 3"Submit Comment
Ever since Sony Pictures announced that it will be rebooting Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" films, fans were wondering if The Daily Bugle head J Jonah Jameson will appear in the new movies and whether there was a chance for JK Simmons to play the character again.

While that hasn't happened in the last two "The Amazing Spider-Man" installments, director Marc Webb just said that he would love to include the character in the third film.

"I like the idea very much of him coming up in the next film," he revealed. "It was more easy to accept a new Spider-Man than someone who could out do JK Simmons in that role, he is so iconic. That's something we've really talked about. Obviously I love that character because he poses such an interesting dilemma for Spider-Man. The answer is I don't know, but I think you can expect to see him in the future."

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is set to hit theaters on May 2nd. "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" will follow on June 10th, 2016.

I f*cking love JK Simmons. He's good in everything. I loved him in DARK SKIES, because he played against type--so subdued and personal.

That being said, I totally endorse keysermayhem's choice in this god-awful reboot Webb has shat out his ass. Hugh Laurie would be great. Excellent actor.

I love simmons, but talk about confusing the two franchises!

Hugh Laurie, funny enough, was going to play Perry White in "Superman Returns" at one point but had to drop out because of House. He is an incredible, diverse actor who can be dramatic or comedic. Still JK Simmons will always have my support. He looked like the character, played him perfectly, and had an astounding amount of energy. Add that to the a thousand other reasons I want the Raimi group back. LOL

Shouldn't he worry more about just having a good movie ?

The 2nd one hasn't come out and the 1st Amazing was more Awful than Amazing, so it don't f*cking matter that he wants J Jonah in the f*cking third movie.

This guy is great in that role, but to put him in the third film would simply be more shameless theft of Raimi's work.
