New Poster for Tom Cruise's "Edge of Tomorrow" Sci-Fi Film

New Poster for Tom CruiseSubmit Comment
Warner Bros just unveiled a new poster for Tom Cruise's upcoming sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," which co-stars Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton. Check it out below.

The movie is set in the near future, in which the world's armies are forced to unite to battle an alien race that landed on Earth, destroying cities and killing millions. Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is demoted and then thrown into battle. Within minutes, he is killed. But he awakens back at the beginning of the same day and is forced to fight and die again -- and again, like a sci-fi version of "Groundhog Day."

The new movie is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) and is set to hit theaters on June 6th.

Pass. Dude's f*cking fifty, not twenty. Should have hired someone much younger to play the role. But it'll go well overseas where people like Cruise and Pitt are still big-ticket items.

Who cares if he's 50, he still looks late 30s. Why would you want anyone from this younger dumber generation of actors to handle a huge action movie like this? Cruise is still the biggest action star of the last 20 yrs and better off he can actually act.

You'd rather have Vin Diesel, Hugh Jackoff, Taylor Krap, Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Evans, Ryan Gossling, Gerard Butler, or just some tweener douchebag from Twatlight or Hunger Games for the part, because that's the go-to crop of crap Hwood would chose from if you want younger than Cruise.

Plus his age might be a factor in the film. If there is a massive planetary alien invasion it might be necessary to mobilize everyone (young and old, male and female) for combat.

I'd trust Tom with this role more than anyone else in Hwood. Name one actor that would be better.

Btw are there any 22-35yo actors that make good action movies today? Outside of this superhero crap and Fast Five there are no good action movies with younger stars.

Yeah because World War Z really bombed here in the States.....

So who is a big ticket item in the US market now that you would rather see handle a huge Sci Fi action movie like this?

Film...Bomb...Repeat

Watching Tom Cruise dying again and again .... would be more satisfying if his character didn't get up at the end.
