James Franco Didn't Know He Has a Cameo in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes"

Posted: April 17th, 2014 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
James Franco DidnSubmit Comment
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" takes place ten years after "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and doesn't bring back any of the original actors, except for Andy Serkis as Caesar.

There is, however, a quick cameo by James Franco. But as the actor just revealed, he had no idea that he was in the movie. "I have a cameo? I didn't know that," he said. "I don't even think they asked my permission for that."

According to SlashFilm, the script for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" has Franco's character die from the virus. Director Rupert Wyatt even shot the sequel, but never used it in the movie.

Since the sequel will try to bridge the gap between the two movies by showing news footage and bringing Caesar back to his old house, it's likely that Franco's old scenes will be used in these places.

I thought he may have showed up in a picture that Caesar carries around with him, which the monkey whips out late at night and rubs one out to it.
