Samuel L. Jackson Doesn't Know Much About SHIELD or Nick Fury, Will Return for "Agents of SHIELD"

Posted: April 8th, 2014 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Samuel L. Jackson DoesnSubmit Comment
While promoting "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," MTV sat down with the stars of the movie to find out how much they know about the characters they're playing.

Samuel L. Jackson might play Nick Fury, the head of SHIELD, but he doesn't know what the letters in the organizations name stand for. "I don't need to know that, I'm in charge," he joked. Actually, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson also didn't know that SHIELD stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.

Jackson also admitted to not knowing that the "J" in Nicholas J. Fury stands for "Joseph."

Meanwhile, the actor revealed that he already shot another cameo for Marvel's "Agents of SHIELD" TV series. "I did! Last week! I just shot the end-of-the-season show," he said.

Wait, I just realized that *SPOILERS* since The Winter Soldier ended with SHIELD dismantled, how does that work for the TV show?

I never watch the thing, so I wouldn't know.

The show isn't that terrible. It's just a bit ridiculous to have a show about SHIELD and superhero's and seldom include any of them. Besides those vague hints they just "talked" to them on the phone etc...

You could say that about all the individual Marvel movies since the Avengers; why wouldn't Captain America just ring up Tony Stark to help him defeat SHIELD or Heidra or whatever bullsh*t it was supposed to be (Did Nazi That Coming). Just wanna point out that all the gayest part of Captain America is where the guy softly whispers in to the other guys ear "Heil Heidra." I laughed out loud. Proper gay sh*t! The action was ok though, not sure why it's getting SUCH high praise though.

I started thinking deeply in to it all then I realised it's a comic book film, based on a comic book, written for children (and virgins).

Gotta disagree, cinema. This new captain america flick does action better than the recent bond films, or die hard flick. Plus, no spandex, cap spends as much time fighting in civies as he does in uniform. Can't think of a single spy thriller with any more depth than cap 2 has. That's what all the talk is over, an action film that hits all marks and doesnt feel like the 2 hours and 16 minutes that it is. Hats off to the Russo bros.

After seeing Captain America 2, many of the subplots, and the end of the last episode, make SO much more sense. I wonder how they are going to do a season 2 however, considering the end of Cap 2.

I wouldn't be surprised if after the evens of Age of Ultron, Nick Fury realizes that there will be a need for an organization to combat big interstellar threats, and he either restarts Shield or heads up SWORD.

Also, I highly doubt Samuel L Jackson didn't know what SHIELD stood for or what the J in his name stood for, considering both have been in his scripts. He probably said something like he didn't know that before he picked up the part.

Every Sam Jackson news article should end with the word "motherf*cker", or it's just a waste of time.
