During its premieres of "Game of Thrones" and "Silicon Valley," HBO took the opportunity to start promoting its upcoming new shows, including "The Leftovers," which is an adaptation of a novel by Tom Perrotta. Today, we have a teaser trailer for "The Leftovers." Check it out below.
Plot: Revolves around the Rapture and follows a group of people who are left behind in the suburban community of Mapleton. They must begin to rebuild their lives after the sudden and mysterious disappearance of more than 100 people.
The new show is created by Damon Lindelof, who is best known for "Lost" and "Prometheus." It stars Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Christopher Eccleston, Amy Brenneman, Carrie Coon, Ann Dowd, and Chris Zylka, and is scheduled to premiere on June 15th at 10pm on HBO.
2% of people of people go missing? It really is not much in the grand scheme of our population. Which leaves me to believe this is going to deal with the psychological aftermath of people wondering why they were left behind.because that's a whole bunch of sinners being left behind. I am interested to see where it goes, i normally like what HBO does, we will see.
@Raider sillicon Valley looks great I am going to watch it tonight. Martin Star is a class act in my eyes. I still miss Freaks and Geeks to this day.
Ok, another series or whatever you called about a bunch of people been throw out in the weird wild with the supernatural playing a part in the myth.... Without left aside that this is the man responsible of ruining one of the greatest prequel in the history of scifi, no thanks!
