Arnold Schwarzenegger Reveals "Terminator: Genesis" Story DetailsSubmit Comment
"Terminator: Genesis" is set to begin filming next month. And now, while promoting "Sabotage," Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed a few story details, including why his Terminator character will look older.

"'Terminator' deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800, and then [there is] what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets ahold of him," he explained. "So [there] will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie."

Regarding why his robot character looks old, Schwarzenegger said: "The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath. It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages."

"Terminator: Genesis" will be directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) and is set to hit theaters on July 1st, 2015.

Methinks there's a few termites in the Austrian Oak's block, if you know what I mean.

@mink
That sounds a little like Terminator Salvation with the character Sam Worthington did. Hope it is better executed because it was an interesting idea.

I think they got a decent writer this time.

She wrote an adaptation of both Battle Angel with Cameron and Ghost in the Shell, of course that doesn't mean anything.

@Sleuth: Agreed. And I hope Arnie knows what the hell he's doing, because Salvation was terrible and not exactly a huge hit.

I'm still trying to understand why the f*ck they didn't just reboot the damned thing entirely. Certainly they could have found someone to take Arnie's role.

@Sleuth: not really getting the TS comparison. I know what you're saying, but that's not how I read it. I read it like he's telling us once again the T-800 is metal underneath and flesh above, like none of us didn't know that already from the first four movies, like he's refreshing his own aged mind on Terminator's design.

Regardless, Arnie, not Ridley, needs to retire, because he's made nothing but garbage since coming back, and no one, not even me, wants to see him continue mocking his former superior career.

@Sedibus

Thanks mate for the earlier support, some people are so negative to homosexuality of any kind, even straight homosexuality.

Cheers

@M. Bullitt:

Sure, man, is a matter of opinion and perspective, I guess.

Cheers for you too.

Regarding why his robot character looks old, Schwarzenegger said: "It's hard to get rid of bitchtits, arsehole! Now come suck off my cigar, if you get my drift!!!! "

Wait, but hasn't every single Terminator ARnie's played died? How did one just grow old?
