Today we have more photos from the set of the upcoming "Gotham" TV series, which is a prequel to the Batman franchise and follows the origin stories of Commissioner Gordon and Bruce Wayne.

The photos show Gordon (Ben McKenzie) alongside his partner Detective Harvey Bullock, played by Donal Logue. In the background of one of the photos are posters of Mayor Aubrey James, who was the mayor while Bruce Wayne's father was still alive. Check everything out below.

"Gotham" has yet to announce a debut date.

I always did enjoy Donal Logue. Very versatile actor but the poor guy can only seem to get mostly small guest appearances on shows. Nice to see him grab a starring role and since Bullock exists up until the Batman storyline at least you know he'll be sticking around unless they find someway to screw that up.

Micheal Mann definitely could have done this series some justice.

IMO this seems like a way more interesting premise that agents of shield. I really like clark gregg but that series has gone down his since it started. They just dont have enough interesting storylines to keep my interest.

The ep with sif seems like it was done purely as a oh crap we need viewers move. Currently the show is in a position of possibly being canceled so it cant be just me.

I really like logue and this series just seems to be more focused and less dependent on your more outlandish storylines.

What I mean is, for shield they are becoming dependent on characters coming in that have powers. Whereas gotham looks to a simpler cop show that just so happens to sprout a superhero at a later date.

Gotham looks to be playing up the whole mob aspect alot more which will make the show more accessible to the general viewer. Just looks to me that it has more longevity.

Gotham seems to me like it will take a more smallville path. Have known characters but have it be more grounded and accessible and as the seasons go on start to introduce the powers, more outlandish characters etc.

I still think gotham will end up showing batman, catwoman etc. I believe it will either transform into that or be set up in a way as when gotham ends it uses the last season to set up a spin off that brings about a possible batman year one type show

Martin Scorsese for Gotham as a guest director.

@mink

Marty, frances ford copolla, mann, ben affleck(how meta would it be if batman directed?), all would make great guest directors

Affleck should direct the ep right before or after his batman movie for cross promotion
