Christian Bale May Star in David Fincher's Steve Jobs Biopic

Christian Bale May Star in David FincherSubmit Comment
It was recently revealed that David Fincher (The Social Network, Fight Club) was in talks to direct Sony's upcoming Steve Jobs biopic that's been written by Aaron Sorkin, who worked with Fincher on "The Social Network."

Now comes word that Fincher wants "The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale to play Jobs in the film. In fact, Fincher will only join the project if Bale does. At this point, it's not clear if the actor is even interested. Stay tuned.

Back in 2012, Sorkin revealed that the "entire movie is going to be three scenes and three scenes only. That all take place in real time. There will be no time cuts and each will take place before a product launch. Backstage before a product launch. The first one being the Mac, the second one being NeXT, after he had left Apple. And the third one being the iPod."

Only if Bale does the whole thing in his Batman voice.

Off topic:

Can you Yankees explain this to me? I've read it twice and I can't conceive how is this even allowed?

@Bullitt

It's just a freak religious thing. Most Americans probably think it's bullsh*t, myself included.

Not that a father encouraging her daughter to not become whore before marriage is a bad thing, but this is just extreme Christian based loony stuff.

Yeah, definitely looney in the head but thank God it's only a minority. I'm absolutely gobsmacked. So what's next? The son does the same to his mother? It's creepy to say the least.

Could be good. Fincher did a great job making Zuckerburg interesting and relatable. I'm sure he could do the same with someone as eccentric and complicated as Jobs.

*for.

@Bullitt: all religions, and people in general have loony ideas. Even atheists have nutty ideas, like that ethicist Peter Singer guy who thinks it should be legal for animals to have sex with people as long as the animal consents, or his other great idea that it should be legal to kill your defective children after they've been born.

Not to mention the insanity that passes for normalcy within the Islamic community; things like honor killings, homosexual stonings and forcing all women to wear head-to-toe curtains, not to mention f*cking goats and various farm animals because your religion makes you so uptight about normal sex.
M. Bullitt writes:

@Mink

Well, you're taking the most extreme examples from some "religions", which I don't disagree btw, but in this case it's about a very disturbing form of Christianity spread by an overzealous Pastor, which is very, very deviant.

As we both know, only nuns are considered to be the bride of Jesus, metaphorically speaking of course, so taken from that there's a very thin line that this Pastor took example to define his very own meaning of virginity to the most gullible people out there.

Still sick though.

On the other hand, America has this virtue where all religions are welcomed and free to practice without any form of persecution or discrimination and that has always gained my admiration. At the opposite in the UK where all the extremists are all welcomed over there but that's another story.
minkowski writes:
on March 21st, 2014 at 6:23:09 PM

@Bullitt: Well, I would say your link is just another example of Christian extremism, and doesn't represent the majority of most Christians in America.
minkowski writes:
on March 21st, 2014 at 6:44:07 PM

@Bullitt: yeah, you're right. It is wacky, but I'll take "religiously wacky" over single, unmarried mothers and their several bastard children living off public assistance any day.
