FX just unveiled a full trailer for its upcoming "Fargo" TV series, which is based on the 1996 Oscar-nominated film and stars Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit). Check it out below.

The story focuses on Lorne Malvo (Thornton), a manipulative man who meets and forever changes the life of small town insurance salesman, Lester Nygaard (Freeman). Colin Hanks plays Duluth Police Deputy Gus Grimly, a single dad who must choose between his own personal safety and his duty as a policeman when he comes face-to-face with a killer. Allison Tolman also stars as Molly Solverson, an ambitious deputy.

"Fargo," which is produced by the Coen brothers, is a limited 10-episode series. It co-stars Bob Odenkirk, Oliver Platt, Kate Walsh, Glenn Howerton, Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele, and is set to premiere on April 15th.

Fargo's a good movie, the one that made the Coen Brothers a nearly household name, akin to Pulp Fiction for Tarantino.

Having said that, sure would have been nice if they had done something new and fresh instead of signing off on a retread of a film they did right the first time.

@Biz

I just watched the 1st 2 episodes and it's quite average. Kinda of poor reboot from the original film.

On the other hand, Black Sails seems good enough. It has a very nice intro but it doesn't reach anything like game Of Thrones.

Eight more episodes, dude. It's going to take them a while to build up into where they want the series to go.

I'm hearing from you Mink and I don't know if I'm going to watch the entire 10 episodes. I mean it's nothing like Lost or anything.

I'm watching Black Sails right now and I'm hoping the intrigue will get more intense and sophisticated but the story is very slow episode after episode and this the 7th I'm watching.

Even Bates Motel in its 2nd season is getting weaker ep. after ep. There's nothing left after Breaking Bad and True Detective.

I'm shedding a tear in a tiny jar just like Nero did.

Yeah, I agree. Doesn't seem to be much on television these days that can blow your balls off. Waiting for 24 to return, but I'm not sure more of that will be enough to reinvest me in the small screen.
