Disney Says "Star Wars: Episode VII" Takes Place 30 Years LaterSubmit Comment
Disney and Lucasfilm revealed that production on "Star Wars: Episode VII" will begin at London's Pinewood Studios in May. The companies went on to confirm that the new installment will take place thirty years after the events in "Return of the Jedi."

Disney added that the film will follow "a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar face." We already know that those familiar faces are Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. The new young leads are rumored to be Adam Driver ("Girls") and Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave).

"Star Wars: Episode VII" will be directed by JJ Abrams and is set to hit theaters on December 18th, 2015.

Nice. Will age the original characters almost perfectly. Hope they didn't have to put Chewy down though. Even if he's an old shaggy useless lump on the floor licking his nuts next to Han Solo's rocking chair, he'll still be lovable :)

Bringing back OT characters for no other reason than fanboy service nostalgia.

Ouch. Man the site is on fire from that burn. LOL

@everyone
Now we will see if Abrams was as big a Star Wars fan as he claimed. Now we will see if his training is complete. LOL
