Before Kellan Lutz's "The Legend of Hercules" hit theaters, Dwayne Johnson was constantly posting photos from the set of his competing "Hercules" film. But recently, things have been quiet.

Today, however, Johnson updated his Twitter account with some news. "Just watched the new 'HERCULES' movie teaser trailer. POWERFUL. Proud to show you in 2 weeks," he wrote.

"Hercules" is directed by Brett Ratner and co-stars Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, and John Hurt. It's set to hit theaters on July 25th.

Ratner is at his best, if you can call it that, when he's not taking himself seriously, e.g., Rush Hour.

Having said that, Dwayne and Ratner should be a little worried Lutz's film imploded, even if Johnson is an A-lister and Lutz isn't even on the celebrity map, really.

People just aren't that interested in Hercules, although had they paid Frank Miller to do a graphic novel adaptation in advance of the film, that would have increased the film's chances.

Ugh. Never mind. There's already a graphic novel pre-adaptation, but it's not from Frank Miller.

Steve Moore and Cris did it, like anyone knows who they are. Perhaps Rabid, but no one else.

Can't even find any information on it, even though it should have been released a good while back to build awareness and anticipation.

yes, Mink, you are right on that.

Yeah, I saw that, but I haven't seen any release information. They may be waiting to do a concurrent debut, or theatrical post-release.

EDIT: Never mind again. Apparently this sh*t was released nearly six years ago (kindle in 2012).

lol.

I know for instance that, this moore and the other moore, Alan, are really good buddies.

They even wrote a magic book together.

Yeah I see that one, although it hasn't been released yet.
minkowski writes:

Yeah, but he gives it his all, which although isn't enough, is still more than Cena and other WWE wrestlers have been able to accomplish. Guess we'll have to wait another fifty years for another Arnie, if ever, since I think Hollywood is slowing killing off adult action films anyway. Just too much money is kiddie fare like Marvel and Star Wars.

We're a dying breed, brother.

Yep. Old Cammie, back when he had a pair, did a lot to make Arnie into the action god he was, mostly by showing him how to work with what native talents he had, and also to give the Austrian Oak a wider acting confidence he lacked, when he wasn't doing sh*tty films like Hercules and playing robots, that is.

Let me guess, we gonna see a trailer of the trailer. Most likely courtesy of ET.

ET? I knew the dude could phone home, but I didn't know he delivered the news, too.

John Cena seems to be a nice guy and in his off time he visits children's hospitals. He is not the next Ahnuld but i'd like to see him do more action roles. The Marine (the first one) was amusing in a saturday afternoon way.
