"Godzilla" Toy Reveals Monster's Origins

Posted: March 8th, 2014 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
"Godzilla" Toy Reveals MonsterSubmit Comment
We know very little about the plot of the upcoming "Godzilla" reboot, except that director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) created the story based on the idea that the atomic blasts from 1954 weren't tests, but an attempt to kill the monster.

Today, we have photos of a new "Godzilla" toy that reveals the creature's origins and mentions those 1954 tests. Be warned that the text may be considered minor spoilers.

MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD:

Possibly the last of an ancient species of giant amphibious creatures that evolved at a time when the surface of the Earth was over ten times more radioactive than it is today. Godzilla can convert his radiation stores into a violent, focused exhalation of atomic ray. Rarely seen, but spoken of in ancient Pacific Island myths. "Gojira' was last spotted in 1954, when the US Navy encountered and attempted to kill him with an atomic blast in the Pacific Ocean. Since then, the giant creature has been living in the deep ocean - until a threat to his survival from an ancient foe forces him to reappear.

Wait. "when the earth was ten times more radioactive than it is today"? What? I'm no radiation expert, but where exactly did all of that radiation go? It doesn't just burn up, or float away

I thought Godzilla was a female?

The main point about godzilla is massive mayhem and destruction it brings. I don't give a sh*t about the background story.

Ultra Man!

Bet y'all don't remember that. Lol!

I get my news from toys, too.

And in other news, Cobra Commander just punched Duke in the face.

Which was never, you master of science you.

I know no one cares for the factual, or the intelligent, either, but if you knew ANYTHING about the atomic tests of the fifties and sixties, you'd know they were repeatedly performed at many of the same sites, which were usually atolls and small islands.

So why would this gigantic beast keep returning to the same little islands?

Anyway, here's something TRULY frightening, and entirely relevant:

@PhoenixFire: I remember Ultra Man. I use to watch him on tv. I think I was 10 at the time.

Do you know of a site that show old episodes of that show? I would love to see it again.

Holy f*cking vomit and sh*t "Gojira was last spotted in 1954, when the U.S. Navy encountered and attempted to kill him with an atomic blast in the Pacific Ocean".

1954 more like 1945, but, the pacific ocean? More like f*cking Hiroshima.

Holy sh*t, man, whether americans, chinese, or your motherf*cking mom, a human being, is a f*cking human being.

And yes, I took some mushrooms yesterday and today very early on.

By the way, MINK, what about those test they did in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the results were higher than expected doesn't it, man.

I mean, is good when something bad happens.
