Warner Bros recently unveiled the trailer for the upcoming "Godzilla" reboot. And now, Empire magazine has released the cover for its latest issue, giving us a good look at the monster. Check it out below.

Plot: An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic "Godzilla," this spectacular adventure pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Looks great, I give you that. However, I'm a bit afraid that this movie is going to be pacific rim 2.0

@boogiel
Yeah man, clearly this film is going for atmospheric and Pacific Rim was even though the trailers said otherwise, was made to be a fun action film. It would have been more but Del Toro wasn't planning to direct so he had to take over at the last minute. If he had had more prep time he would have made it better. It was still a fun action film with great action and, I have to admit, a good score. I like the composer. Did "Iron Man" and a bunch of recognizable scores.

Nope on the Pac Rim Job. My only fear is that there won't be enough Godzilla-in. Or rain scenes. No f*cking rain in this movie, please!

Guillermo Del Toro was always the director for Pacific Rim Sleuth. Stop making sh*t up.

@Deaft0ne
You don't know sh*t because if you did you would know Del Toro only was going to produce and co-write the film because he was working like the devil to direct Mountains of Madness based of the story written by HP Lovecraft but that fell through so he directed Pacific Rim.

The Pacific Rim Job jokes are getting really old.

@Sleuth: Actually, Deaftone is right. There was no director, as far as I can tell, other than del Toro attached to the project.

And I find it funny Beacham, the guy who wrote the Pacific Rim screenplay, got his inspiration the same way I do: he looked out into the ocean and imagined two gigantic beasts fighting. Same sh*t I do all the time. Unfortunately, I've never written a full screenplay, much less sold one. Wonder whose fault that is...

Fascinating.

I have faith with this new director. He made a solid movie with limited resources.

Now he has the resources and says it's been been dream to do this movie. All looks good in that front...

As for the look, I could see it why he looks that way. You go too out there and it doesn't match the popular B-movies that made it popular or too "dinosaur-y" like the first remake. You don't change it enough, it'll look dated. This is the best of both...

As for Pacific Rim...it was solid, the effects were great and the fight scenes were epic..

The problem was that he just lost the audience with a too "out there" plot device with the drift partners to move the robot, drifting with a kaiju brain bullsh*t and non-stellar cast, IMO.

The Godzilla trailers should be longer soon. Maybe it'll give us a better look at the project..
