"Heroes" TV Series Returns in 2015 as "Heroes Reborn"

"Heroes" TV Series Returns in 2015 as "Heroes Reborn"Submit Comment
About a year ago, it was reported that NBC was considering bringing back its popular "Heroes" TV series for a special 13-episode mini-series with creator Tim Kring at the helm. Today, NBC has officially confirmed the news.

"The enormous impact 'Heroes' had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening," said the network. "Shows with that kind of resonance don't come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We're thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won't rule out the possibility of some of the show's original cast members popping back in."

The original series chronicled the stories of unrelated ordinary people who discovered they had superhuman abilities. As the saga unfolded, they learned they were part of a grand plan that brought them together to change the world.

The new series, called "Heroes Reborn," will follow a new stand-alone story arc.

Considering the series ended on a f*cking big cliffhanger you might want to consider bringing the cast back! Most of them aren't doing anything much anyway. Hayden Panettiere is in "Nashville" and that Indian actor is in 'Beauty and the Beast" but come on, don't just drop the cast when you left it on such an open note SPECIFICALLY about them. You'll just piss fans off even more.

Meh. Lost interest after season 1. Show went completely downhill fast.

People still watch NBS in the age of Netflix, Redbox and Showtime, not to mention Amazon Prime?

Sounds like they are hoping the early popularity for the show mixed with the sucess of the limited arc run series on cable channels will bleed into success for nbc.

They only forgot that if they dont have at least some of the original cast than no one will care. By the end they stopped watching, take away the characters they like and they wont give it a second look.

They are stupidly banking on the diehard fans to come back when in reality they will only get a fraction of that with viewers who have no idea what that show even was.

It would have a better chance as a cartoon for kids 10-15
