"The Lego Movie" Sequel Gets a Release DateSubmit Comment
"The Lego Movie" has taken first place at the domestic box office for two weekends in a row and is expected to do the same this weekend. The animated film has already grossed $203 million worldwide on a budget of only $60 million and has a very impressive RottenTomatoes rating of 96%.

Clearly fans can't get enough of "The Lego Movie," which is why Warner Bros just greenlit a sequel and has scheduled it to hit theaters on May 26th, 2017. Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan will write the screenplay.

No word on who will return for the sequel or what the story will be about. Stay tuned.

This time around it'll be marvel characters

It was surprisingly pretty good. Essentially a Matrix remake, but I doubt a sequel would be anything more than a cash grab.

I hope the director uses better blocking in his shots next time and really tries to build up the pace instead of letting the plot go to pieces in the third act.

Zzzzz.

I saw this earlier this afternoon and I liked it a lot. One of those movies like Wreck-It Ralph that just makes you smile the whole time.
