"Avengers: Age of Ultron" Picks Up Immediately After "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"Submit Comment
Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the storyline in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will directly lead into "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which will hit theaters a year after.

Iger said that "The Winter Soldier" will "set critical events in motion" that will be felt across the entire Marvel universe, including the "Avengers" sequel and the studio's "Agents of SHIELD" TV series.

Meanwhile, "Guardians of the Galaxy" will further explore Thanos, who will also appear in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and then eventually become the main villain in the third "Avengers" film.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will be released on April 4th. "Guardians of the Galaxy" will follow on August 1st. And "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will hit theaters on May 1st, 2015.

So, I'm curious where-and-how the Ant-Man storyline will tie in.

whether you like these films or not
Marvel has done an outstanding job of mapping out their future with careful planning, marketing and development

DC is like what the old man used to say 'a chicken with its head cut off'

they are doing their best with what properties they have left...but if other studios don't take notice they'll miss this formula: comic book title + fanbase(bigger than the average movie goer) + faithful adaptation = big money, if done right of course...and when new fans come into play, they do what us older fans do, learn about the comics, what was changed if anything and get just as pissed...it's just a real shame x-men isn't in marvel's hands entirely otherwise it'd be bad ass and make avengers look like a prequel

Does this mean I now have to watch The second Captain Americs film?...

Pfffft. Whatever, Marvel. DC's got you beat with that Batman vs Superman movie, the 2016 one with the fifty terrible titles and casting straight out of Latvian pornography. So shove your sprawling, interconnected, and supremely successful cinematic universe right up your ass.

Guarantee the events of Winter Soldier cause Shield to task Tony Stark with creating a system that can watch over and if need be counteract any superhuman threats, intended as the final line of domestic protection.

f*ck DC, they will never make it big like Marvel did, Batman vs Superman is gonna suck
Doucheception writes:

DC is trying to catch up with Marvel, I mean Marvel is making a f*cking movie about a f*cking Racoon and DC hasn't been able to make a f*cking standalone Wonder f*cking Woman film for years now.

^BlaclDynamite, or Justin Hammer could invent him, or maybe it is left unsaid who made him and it is later on revealed in the Ant-Man film that it was Hank Pym.
