Empire magazine recently unveiled 25 different covers for its latest issue, giving us a look at the characters from "X-Men: Days of Future Past." And now, the magazine has released four new photos from the movie. Check them out below.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" has Kitty Pryde sending her mind back to her younger self in order to warn the X-Men that Senator Robert Kelly's assassination will result in a future where Sentinels rule the United States and mutants live in internment camps.

The new movie stars Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart. It's set to hit theaters on May 23rd.

Can't wait to see this movie.

First image looks like Mortal Kombat, second looks like Karate Kid 2: The Mutant Years, third looks like Alex's nightly wet-dream fantasy and four looks like a comic book version of a James Bond chick.

I have hope, but these images don't lend any credence to the belief DOFP will be an exceptional film.

Yeah, better images would help, and perhaps a trailer/teaser that gives the audience a taste of the action, which is really why we would want to see DOFP.

After all, it's not a character study of Mahatma Gandhi.

But I still think the first (and only IIRC) trailer was beautifully shot.

Let's be honest here. What's going to bring people back to this franchise is the original cast because they have a fan base, especially McKellen, Stewart, and Jackman. The new film got praise for having a better story but the cast was hardly noted in comparison to the original films. The problem is the look of some of the characters is throwing me off besides Mystique being bright f*cking blue like a damn smurf. And the big question is how are all these characters going to be balanced in here?! And why cut out Rogue when you only have like three female characters in here. Nice to see Page getting work since, as noted, she is a good actress but her young looks really screw with her range of jobs she can get.

@sleuth. Less women cuz singer likes the dudes. Didnt you hear?? Lol

@vincere01
LOL Well I didn't think it affect his work! Not to mention the original films had a great balance of male and female characters. The original had Professor X, Magneto, Wolverine, Cyclops, Iceman, and Pyro while having Rogue, Jean Grey, Mystique, Storm, along with Kitty in the third film.

Oh and Deathstrike in the second one. I forgot was it Deathstrike? I forgot her name.

The one perk of him being gay is he didn't overdue romantic scenes in the original films also. You had the Jean Grey/Logan/Scott thing and Rogue/Iceman but that was second to the story though which a lot of films fail at.

I honestly think this movie has the potential to be the best comic book movie of the last 5 years. I have more interest in this than anything disney/marvel is sh*tting out these days

@vincere01
I don't know man. Whedon did a spectacular job with Avengers especially considering he had to piece it together from four individual storylines. This film can be great but also I am worried that because Singer bailed out of X3 that his heart isn't completely in it. The film does indeed have potential for being one of the best ever made yes, but last 5 years is a matter of opinion. It's a very different style of filmmaking where Singer tries to be more grounded in themes and Whedon in the story itself with the characters. I remember Singer was good at the characters...but they've doubled his quota. LOL

Also he has a sh*tty younger cast of actors who really don't bring much to the table except McAvoy and Fassbender and you can't call them young. LOL

Attack of the cheap sets and bad lighting. Hopefully, these are mere production stills.
