"Fantastic Four" Script is Finished, Actors to Audition This Month

"Fantastic Four" Script is Finished, Actors to Audition This MonthSubmit Comment
Variety is reporting that Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes, X-Men: The Last Stand) has finished re-writing the script for the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot and director Josh Trank (Chronicle) plans to begin testing actors for the roles of Reed Richards (aka Mister Fantastic) and Sue Storm (aka Invisible Woman) by the end of the month.

During the Sundance Film Festival, Miles Teller (Project X) was asked if he will be playing Richards. The actor replied: "Yeah that should be happening in the next few weeks." Even though he made it sound like he already has the role, it turns out he meant to say he's still auditioning. Other actors expected to test for the part include Kit Harington (Pompeii, "Game of Thrones") and Richard Madden ("Game of Thrones").

Meanwhile, Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan will test for the role of Sue Storm. Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle) is already attached to star as Johnny Storm, but is expected to test with the actors to see which group has the best chemistry.

"Fantastic Four" is set to hit theaters on June 19th, 2015.

They tried selling the Fantastic Four script to bloggers along with Tarantino's script but they only wanted the Hateful Eight.

Actors and scripts for Fantastic Four? Just what the f*ck are they smoking over at FOX?

Sue Storm should be slightly tall and slender
not short and creepy

Charlize Theron would still make a good Sue Storm

as long as the thing is cgi and not a sh*tty rubber suit and tim story is not directing then its all good

I'm only interested to hear how the f*ck are they gonna (try to) explain why Johnny Storm is black while Sue still remains caucasian.

I hate political correctness 'cause it's ALWAYS a one way street. I'd love it if someone, just as a gag, had the balls in Hollywood to suggest rebooting, say, Blade with a white actor. Can you imagine the sh*t storm it'd create?

A blatant double standard, nothing more.

I want them to make MLK white and then have him lynch himself, but not before he does a gay sex scene with James Earl Ray.

To SoftimusPrime:

There is no double slandered, unless you mean in how "lily white" race-baiters such as yourself complain about ONE race change when over 98 percent of lead action heroes at the movies each year are already White. So thats why there would never be a whitewashing of "Blade" because there are already so little black superheroes and black lead action roles in the marketplace even though Blacks/Hispanics are now the most frequent moviegoers (which is why the record-breaking nearly 50 million dollar opening of "Ride Along" shocked idiots such as yourself).

By the way there is no political correctness, MBJ got the part barbecue of his friendship with "Josh Trank" and because he is a great actor. If you cant deal with that then skip the movie and keep watching the first two kiddie crap films! Now when Hollywood finally caught up with the marketplace and starts releasing films with nearly just as many black lead action heroes then you can complain, but until then STFU!

^^Black people are always free to start their own Hollywood. The did something similar with BET and Jet and Ebony.

Make your own Hollywood and you can hire all black actors, churn out more Tyler Perry movies and Obama/Oprah doc*mentaries and make whatever "rapper" into a lead star. You can do it.

I suggest Detroit, Memphis or Atlanta as your base of operations.

Just don't expect whites to do it for you.

MINK: "just dont expect it whites to do it for you"

What in the hell are you talking about?! Obviously the billion dollar empire Tyler Perry built has wasn't done for him by whites. Why should blacks have to so-called start there own Hollywood. In show business the free market always decides who becomes a star what becomes a hit, and Hollywood is suppose to work around what the marketplace is demanding. In music over 90 percent of the number 1's 1s the past decade are by black artists and the most successful movie star of the past decade is black(Will Smith). And the most successful person in daytime television history is black(Oprah).

So if mainstream white audiences already love the "black product" being presented to them then it is Hollywood financial responsibility to serve those undeserved markets. And why is your race-baiting dumbass always think successful blacks are asking whites to do something for them?!

The female Chairman of Universal Pictures is Black, the production President of Sony/ Columbia Pictures is Black! the vice President of Paramount Pictures/Insurege is Black! the CEOs of most of the major record labels are Black! Get informed Dipsh*t.

I believe what Mink and others are saying, is that there is no reason to turn established white characters Black. that just seems like appeasement to people of color, and if anything, it should be considered more offensive than an all white cast because that means studios believe that people of color won't watch a movie unless one of their kind is in it, and that we can be easily placated by making any old character black, which is stereotyping and racial profiling in itself.

As a black moviegoer and comics fan, instead of seeing a character that has been portrayed as white in literally every medium (comics, tv, movies), I would much rather see Fox/Marvel Studios start making more projects on their already established black and minority characters, such as Power Man, Spider Girl/Arana, Shang Chi, Blade, Falcon, etc.

minkowski writes:

I just love annoying turdstooler.

And like black record label CEOs, the people pushing rap sh*t, and Tyler Perry, represent what most white people really want, which is why they're a little hesitant to turn over everything they make to blacks who demand a 50/50 representation even though they're a small minority of the populace.

This is what I said, and curbcooler basically repeats it back to me as some kind of rebuttal.

Whatever.
