Microsoft Says It's NOT Working On a "Halo" Movie

Posted: January 16th, 2014 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Microsoft Says ItSubmit Comment
It was recently reported that Microsoft is working on a new feature-length "Halo" project that's being produced by Ridley Scott (Prometheus). At the time, it seemed that we were finally getting a "Halo" movie. But now comes word directly from the company that there's no truth to the rumor.

"The 'Halo' franchise encompasses many elements, including games, action figures, novels and more," said Microsoft. "As always, we have many projects in the works that offer us the opportunity to bring in new audiences to the franchise, as we did in the past with 'Halo Legends' and 'Halo: Forward Unto Dawn.' We plan to continue telling the 'Halo' story through innovative channels, but there are no plans for a 'Halo' motion picture at this time."

While rumors will keep popping up about a "Halo" movie. For now, it seems, there's nothing in the pipeline.

Still no mention of the live action TV show to air on xbox live alex?? Really??? Wow. They are making a live action halo show produced by spielberg as a first run series on xbox live.

They hired a veteran tv executive to build and create television content. From halo, to globe trotting reality series based on soccer and will play out a little like american idol but for the sport.

Its actually quite interesting what microsoft is trying to do. They have all the money they could need, and an ambitious game plan. They could, if successful, start a new trend and become a digital programming juggernaut.

Movie is unnecessary...I don't want to be shot in the movie theater by someone dressed up as Master Chief. That would hurt on so many levels
