"Ant-Man" Plot Details Revealed, Michael Pena in Talks to Play VillainSubmit Comment
We already know that Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd will star as Hank Pym and Scott Lang in Marvel's upcoming "Ant-Man" movie. And now comes word that Michael Pena (American Hustle) is in talks to join the production.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD:

While Marvel has yet to confirm anything, it is believed that Pena will play Castillo, one of the two villains in the film. "Our understanding is that Castillo will be the film's villain in the beginning, which takes place in the 1960s," said This Is Infamous. "It is here that we'll get our introduction to Ant-Man, the Hank Pym version, who works as a spy fighting against Communism."

The website continued: "From there, Ant-Man will move into the modern era, with an aging Pym, recently filled by Michael Douglas, and the beginning of the Scott Lang story arc, which will eventually get Scott Lang in as Ant-Man. Lang will encounter this second villain along the way, who will serve as his primary villain, but what we're hearing is that Pena will [end] up playing a larger role as the film develops, much more than just the opening to establish Ant-Man."

Meanwhile, Bleeding Cool is reporting that the female lead will be the daughter Hang Pym (Douglas).

Hang Pym? You need to spell check your article, Alex. I hope Pena portray a strong character otherwise he's probably gonna end up playing the dumb comic-relief sidekick character.

He was the only funny actor in 'Observe and Report'.

Jesus, who wasn't in American Hustle?

Pena is good in almost everything he's in. I'm loving this Ant man casting.

He was hilarious in 30 MINUTES OR LESS, a truly terrible film.

@bullitt I agree he was great in end watch, was he in chaos also with bale?

@billybunter

If you mean Harsh Times, that was Freddy Rodriguez.

Basically what I said.

Douglas plays Old Ant Man from whom New Ant Man steals the Ant Man equipment, which should be interesting to see if for no other reason than to witness Douglas in a comic book movie, which is about as far from type as an actor such as Douglas can get.

And I guess that whole "from the future to warn about Ultron" idea is kaput. Good try, though.

@deaft Thanks dude, that's the actor I was thinking of. Harsh times was pretty decent, seeing bale play a nut is always enjoyable.
