First Look at "Child 44" Thriller, with Tom Hardy and Gary OldmanSubmit Comment
Summit Entertainment has unveiled the first photos from its upcoming "Child 44" thriller, starring Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Paddy Considine, and Vincent Cassel. Check them out below.

Plot: Based on the first novel of a trilogy by Tom Rob Smith, the story is set in the Stalin era of the Soviet Union. An idealistic pro-Stalin security officer decides to investigate a series of child murders in a country where supposedly this sort of crime doesn't exist. The state would not hear of the existence of a child murderer let alone a serial killer. He gets demoted and exiled but decides, with just the help of his wife, to continue pursuing the case.

The new movie is directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) and is set to hit theaters during the fall of 2014.

i like how the local weatherman here says that he likes Hardy because he's a mans man

He's not too manly in bed. That's for sure.

@PORN-FLY
Well think about it man...how many men men do you see rising in Hollywood nowadays. Hardy is definitely one in a million right now. LOL

@everyone
That really is a spectacular cast who continuously give solid work for the most part. So please bring it on.

@PORN-FLY
LOL Who knew which part? Casting Emile Hirsch whose most well known film is a high schooler fantasizing about his pornstar girlfriend or making a john belushi biopic to begin with? LOL
PORN-FLY writes:

that Belushi bs,SLEUTH
i liked him in Alpha Dog,tho
despite Timberlake
PORN-FLY writes:

i still have never seen Wired(?) with Michael Chiklis as Belushi
but i remember it springboarding him into higher profile roles
Sleuth1989 writes:

@PORN-FLY
He was a bastard in "alpha Dogs". LOL It's not that he is a bad actor but I don't see him as John Belushi. Belushi needs to rest in peace though. This is ridiculous. How hard is it to do an original story concept?! That will be a short film since, as that article states,he didn't have a long career. Unless they do the whole life story bit but even then what quality are you expecting where it stands out.

Hollywood was always pro-Stalin, even after the truth of his horrors came to light.

You should see the sex parties I hear Hardy throws. More like a million in one.

At one point I thought Hardy was the chameleon-heir from Oldman, but now...not so.

Hardy hasn't really gotten his hands dirty with a Drexl, JFK, or Mason Verger (Hannibal) roles like Oldman...

Maybe the closes one would been Christian Bale, IMO. Examples would be The Machinist and The Fighter of how he immerses himeself in the role...Tim Curry maybe in a close 2nd?

Anyway...this Child 44 sounds like a Ford's K9:Widowmaker.

Kinda an interesting plot, but will probably be boringly executed, IMO.
