Warner Bros has unveiled the official trailer for Tom Cruise's upcoming sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," which co-stars Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton. Check it out below.
The movie is set in the near future, in which the world's armies are forced to unite to battle an alien race that landed on Earth, destroying cities and killing millions. Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is demoted and then thrown into battle. Within minutes, he is killed. But he awakens back at the beginning of the same day and is forced to fight and die again -- and again, like a sci-fi version of "Groundhog Day."
The new movie is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) and is set to hit theaters on June 6th, 2014.

Ive been biding my time to say
that you niggaz need to stop gauging movies off Rotten Tomatoes
VHS2 is the worst piece of crap Ive seen since Limitless
the original had a better concept
even if in the end it was a two hour blow job with no pay off
any writer/director that had a hand in VHS2 AND itd critics that favored it (especially over the first) should admit themselves for a psychiatric evaluation then committed to their parents attic Pet Semetary style
and yo momma too

My friend let's be honest here...critics are bought off douchebags. Or they have crappy taste because they are usually pretentious pricks for the most part. Let's look at films they praised over the years:
- Silver Linings Playbook
- Shakespeare in Love
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Two out of three of those stole Oscar wins and nominations from movies that deserved it a hell of a lot more. It's not about the art anymore man and I haven't even seen VHS or it's sequel and both seem like thrill seeking horror films with little plot concept to them. Just random, up in the air horror that has no explanation.

On a personal note, I actually really like this film concept. It's not 100% original but the style and characters are nice. This will also be kind of a way to see what Blunt would have been like if she had been cast as Black Widow. She looks like she might pull off the action star look pretty well.

Always happy to lend counsel man.

Also...say what you want about him but give Krasinski a damn medal. He somehow got probably one of the sexiest women I've ever seen on screen. LOL So at least in that regard he deserves a toast.

I liked VHS and saw it in theaters during its Canadian premier in Toronto, Which would go on to become its only Camadian showing. 7/10, But never bothered with the sequel.

it has nothing to do with the first
just a crap-mash up of impossible camera angles for a pov film
Yeah either they've f*cked up big time with the trailer and by some miraculous miracle this film turns out to be actually really good, or it's just popcorn fodder for the retarded masses.

After Tom Cruise does everything right and survives the day, his reward is a lifetime supply of Fruit By The Footę.

Smart to put the copyright symbol there. Everyone wants to try and get money for their brand nowadays any way they can.

Looks way better than Oblivion and Jack Reacher. Not a big fan of the warrior woman thing but at least they buffed Blunt up for the role. She's looking seriously hot doing her Katniss thing.
@Cinema: Pass the popcorn :)

After watching that several times on a better site I gotta say I'm really looking forward to this! That's my boy Tom doing his thing at 51, kicking ass and taking names by the end of the trailer.
Still the best action star in the Wood.

How the hell he both a lieutenant colonel and a recruit at the same time? Why we only see glimpses of them aliens? Oh well, I guess being a Scientologist and all, he seems to enjoy fighting off the alien scourge both in movies and real life.
