The Asylum's "Mega Shark" movies have pitted the giant shark against such creatures as a massive octopus and a Crocosaurus. And now, the shark will take on a completely different nemesis, a robotic shark named Mecha Shark.

In the upcoming "Mega Shark vs Mecha Shark," the military builds a giant robotic Mecha Shark to stop Mega Shark once and for all. And today, we have the official trailer for the movie. Watch it below.

The new film is directed by FX guru Emile Edwin and will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD on January 28th.

Bruce (the original "mecha shark") should have a cameo in this movie

@mink

I get what you're saying about jeebis but the elephant in the roon is earlier faiths having 12 disciples and 7 wise men, virgin birth, death and resurrection and the epic quandary of jesus's painted image being based upon Cesare Borgia.

Nothing in the Judeo-Christian faith is original at all and Joseph Campbell hilariously illustrates this on his The Power of Myth series from PBS.

*sigh*

No one said everything in the f*cking Bible is literal truth, Deaftone. No one said that, especially not me, so argue all you want on an argument I consider satisfactorily closed.

And yes, I know all about Campbell, but the primary result of his work is to show that human narratives, either that which is manifested as the real or that which is manifested as the non-real, is pretty much consistent with respect to space and time, not that just because a narrative resembles this supposed "pan-mythos", it's inherently false.

Now I'm done with the matter. Talk about Megashark or something.

I don't give a sh*t about RoboShark and the extra profiles are hardly clever.

@To everyone: not much news at all. Just check out IMDb's news feed. Basically Nelson Mandela and 12 Years a Slave sh*t. Nothing an intelligent person would want to read about.

Alex should have mentioned that the post-credits scene of X-Men: DOTF shows Magneto becoming Apocalypse. It's a flip from the comic origin but it is a daring idea that could work.
Deaft0ne writes:

DOFP*
minkowski writes:
on December 8th, 2013 at 7:35:24 PM

Yeah, I saw that at Firstshowing. Not sure if it's legit though. Seems Fassbender becomes Apocalypse, which means they're doing what I thought: rebooting the series around the first three films, somewhat like Star Trek 2009.

Regardless, it all looks like a mess, and FOX has no idea what to do with the property, long-term. They need to return it to Marvel.
Deaft0ne writes:
on December 8th, 2013 at 7:40:02 PM

But if it is true I can see it working conceptually as long as the next film does not have 20 characters like DOFP does.

I think Singer might be taking a page from Whedon with making Ultron a product of Stark and Magneto becomes Apocalypse.

At least Singer remains at the reigns and Ratner is stuck doing Beverly Hills Cop IV.
minkowski writes:
on December 8th, 2013 at 7:41:46 PM

I say that with the expectation young Magneto couldn't become Apocalypse without such a fact being touched upon within the first trilogy...
minkowski writes:

"At least Singer remains at the reigns and Ratner is stuck doing Beverly Hills Cop IV."

Ratner is where he belongs and at least Singer is no Nolan. Can't even imagine how much I would want to kill myself if I had to suffer through Nolan's vision of Wolverine, with the titular character moping around as a whining, ineffectual growling cameo.
Deaft0ne writes:
on December 8th, 2013 at 7:46:56 PM

Singer has said before that he is a fan of the X-Men comics and that is why X2 was based upon a major William Stryker story and was mostly unchanged.

My guess is he did not mess with DOFP too much either.
