Warner Bros just unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming unique love story, called "Her," starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde, and Scarlett Johansson. Check it out below.
The story follows Theodore Twombly (Phoenix), a complex, soulful man who makes his living writing touching, personal letters for other people. Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with a new, advanced operating system, which promises to be individual to each user. Upon initiating it, he is delighted to meet "Samantha," a bright, female voice (Johansson), who is insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny. As her needs and desires grow, in tandem with his own, their friendship deepens into an eventual love for each other.
The new movie is directed by Spike Jonze (Where the Wild Things Are, Adaptation, Being John Malkovich) and is set to hit theaters on December 18th, in limited release.
It'd be more interesting if it was Scarlett Johansson playing a woman who falls in love with a computer voiced by...Scarlett Johansson.

Riiiiight. Someone invented an "operating system" that can pass the Turing Test and thus is artificially intelligent, and the loser who writes letters for a living gets a copy for his iMac or iPhone or iDildo or whatever it is Apple is selling to pretentious white rich douche bag losers this year.
