First Look at Daniel Radcliffe as Igor in "Frankenstein"Submit Comment
Daniel Radcliffe has just started shooting his upcoming "Frankenstein" film, in which he plays Igor. James McAvoy is playing The Monster, but the story is being told from Igor's perspective.

Today, we have the first set photos of Radcliffe as the famous assistant, who's known for being a hunchback. In this version, Igor seems pretty normal. But that may change as filming continues. Check out the photos below.

"Frankenstein" is directed by Paul McGuigan (Push, Lucky Number Slevin), and co-stars Jessica Brown Findlay as a trapeze artist who befriends Igor after he saves her from an accident. The new movie is set to hit theaters on January 16th, 2015.

Is he trying to pimping girls with that awful purple jacket? Looks more like Joker without the make up.

Studio has so little faith in the film, they're tossing it into January almost a year ahead

How does this guy find work? He can't act at all... I'm thinking Hollywood is just desperate because the previous generation of decent actors is getting old and dying off...
minkowski writes:

This guy needs to migrate to stage acting because his nervous mannerisms and proclivity for pompous attire are better suited to dimly lit stages and merciful curtain calls.

If Hollywood ever makes a Frankenstein movie under the full title of the original novel, will most people assume that the new movie is a crossover film with the Frankenstein monster and the recent Prometheus film's characters?

Anyway, McAvoy's just a lil guy, while the novel's monster was around 8 feet tall (iirc). I guess the filmmakers are gonna have to go all "forced perspective" on that tiny Scotsman
minkowski writes:

^^James McAvoy is playing the actual monster.

Thought you said Radcliffe, who is playing Igor.
minkowski writes:

Ugh. No wonder my confusion.

IMDb says McAvoy is playing *Doctor Frankenstein*, not his namesake monster, hence my confusion, although I should have read what you wrote with a little more diligence.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1976009/

So this isn't Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, so McAvoy won't transform into an abomination, so him playing the Doctor isn't a big deal at all.

The actual monster will likely be CGI.

Fix your damned article, Alex.

Alex f*cks up many of his articles doesn't he? Does actually do some mild research before blatantly putting mistakes in the topic? For a minute I was astounded by the McAvoy as monster thing, it just did not make sense.

I guess it is called worstpreviews for a reason, everything is old news or wrong.
