With "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" set to hit theaters about a month from now, this is usually the time that we should be hearing talks of "Anchorman 3." But in a new interview with Adam McKay, the director revealed that he's had discussions with Paramount Pictures about a spin-off, which would focus on Ron Burgundy's dog Baxter and his son Walter.

"We wanted to do the adventures of his son, Walter Burgundy, and Baxter," said McKay. "And I actually pitched it to Adam Goodman at Paramount and he said, 'That's not a bad idea.' So there's a chance we might be doing a G-rated, PG, 'Adventures of Walter and Baxter,' which would be amazing."

Meanwhile, director Paul Feig revealed that he's moving forward with a spin-off to his "The Heat" comedy that starred Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. The new film will focus on Jamie Denbo and Jessica Chaffin, who played Beth and Gina, two members of McCarthy's character's extended family.

"Jamie and Jessica are two of the funniest people on this planet," said Feig. "They took small roles in 'The Heat' and turned them into characters worthy of their own movie. I can't wait to unleash Beth and Gina on the world. Run for your lives."
