Sony and MGM just announced that a new trailer for their upcoming "RoboCop" remake will be released online in three days, on Thursday, November 7th. In addition to the news, the studios also provided new photos from the movie. Check out all the photos below and come back on Thursday to see the trailer.

Plot: The year is 2028 and OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

The new movie is directed by Jose Padilha (Elite Squad) and is set to hit theaters on February 12th, 2014.

I'm glad they used both the classic and the updated looks for Robocop, and I'm sure that no matter how good or bad the movie is, Sam Jackson is sure to put on a good show.

I personally think it will perform just like Dredd. Bomb at the box office due to poor promotion, but turn out to be a much better and underrated movie than expected.

I don't care about a poster for Oldman in a paychek role, Jackson with Romney hair (good call, Band) or even the movie in general. Just show me Abbie Cornish.

Yeah, just like that one guy said, PG-13, f*ck this movie.

Movies like Predator, Total Recall, Robocop, etc.
They just could never be made in todays market where less talented film makers spend WAY too much money on movies that are completely butchered by the money men to recoup the massively excessive budgets.

I thought this movie is about robocop? Then how come they use the font from The Terminator?

@boogiel

Good call. I didn't notice that at first but, yeah, it's almost glaringly obvious. What the hell.

If you compare the RoboCop "font" here to the "font" used for any of the films plus the television show, you'll see there's huge differences.

And no, the use of some kind of metallic coating on the letters isn't part of the actual "font".
