"Thor" Actress Jaimie Alexander Talks Wonder Woman and Sif Spin-Off

"Thor" Actress Jaimie Alexander Talks Wonder Woman and Sif Spin-OffSubmit Comment
Warner Bros CEO recently said that he wants Wonder Woman to appear either in her own movie or part of another film, like "Batman vs Superman." Because several superheroes, besides Batman, will be introduced in the "Man of Steel" sequel, many believe that Wonder Woman will definitely be included.

One of the actresses rumored for the role is Jaimie Alexander, who is currently starring as Sif in Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World." While promoting her new film, she confirmed that she "knows the story line for ['Batman vs Superman']," but refused to say whether she's in talks to play the superhero.

"I'm a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I really think if this is the closest that we're ever going to get to Wonder Woman," said Alexander. "I hope that other comic book entities can learn a lesson from Marvel in how to execute a female character the way it should be done. I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it's done with class, I'd rather it not be done."

Meanwhile, the actress also commented on the chances of seeing Sif in her own movie. "I would love for there to be a spin-off film," she said. "I would absolutely say 'yes!' If the fans want it and there's a strong enough desire for it, it will happen."

I know this might sound superficial, but she's simply not pretty enough. Wonder Woman is an Amazon, so she needs to be physical, yes, but also exotically beautiful.

Alexander is just kind of a plain looking Midwestern girl with flat face. She doesn't really stand out.

not necessarily
and is there a blue-eyed brunette shortage i havent heard about?
in her mind, she could play WW and have a Sif movie?
she cant even walk stairs in heels without killing herself

if Megan Fox had half a brain, she would have been campaigning for WW since Transformers with physical/fight training and acting classes

she must be on the Carmen Elektra career plan

I'm more interested in her queff than her Sif.

Actually Pornfly, M. Fox has been offered the Wonder Woman role long time ago (Like around Jennifer's Body IIRC) and she has opened her big ungrateful big mouth and publicly denounced wanting nothing to do with the character...some bullsh*t reason. Point was, WW was hers for the taking, but she just refused.

I think she would've been perfect and could have spearheaded the project like Reynolds with Deadpool...only difference is she WOULD have been successful.

If Fox would've done WW, it would raise her stock and open to multiple roles offers creating high demand for her...things S. Johansen and Bullock have been able to do. Isn't that what each actor wants?

I don't know with that girl, seems she has the chance to go big, but she's always thinking small. Part of it looks like "rebel without a clue" attitude and a big chip on her shoulder. She has great charisma, the camera always looks like its trying to f*ck her, but talent wise, she is lacking...but hell, even mediocre actors can have a good long HWood career with that.

@celluloid
Ironic you say she looks like she doesn't have a clue since the first thing she starred in was that show "Kyle XY" where she played test-tube teenager with no idea how to act. And I wouldn't call her mediocre. She does try to do different roles and even sometimes succeeds. She just hasn't gotten any big solo roles yet because, let's face it, there aren't many out there and the ones that are are usually swiped up by actors who are A-List like Amy Adams, Jennifer "Celluloid this girl is mediocre" Lawrence, and the always popular, as you mentioned yourself, Scarlett Johansen or Sandra Bullock.

As for Jamie Alexander...she would be a hit or miss WW. Her stock could be elevated on a good adaptation and she looks like she could definitely handle the action sequences...

But yeah, she does that plain jane look about her...

Replacement? sh*t if I know...maybe Cobbie Smulders?

If the only draw for a Wonder Woman film is the character's looks, then it's already failed, so I disagree with the thought this lady isn't "hot" enough.

Instead, concentrate on a riveting and well-developed story and a craftily-drawn character or else you'll see empty theaters, as was learned when they tried to push Jennifer Garner's good looks and momentary popularity on us instead of a story that draws in and interests the audience.

Just listen to me, DC.

There was much talk here about Megan Gale (Australian Model) to play Wonder Woman, but have not heard that rumour for some time now.

Yeah better choice, unsure of her acting ability, But the pictured girl is way too plain, pretty but plain. Olivia Wilde would be a better choice.
Cannon writes:

@Mink

I'm not saying looks of the character is the only draw. Obviously, story and directorial vision are primary factors ...but so is casting. That's my only real point.

Alexander is a "nice" looking, average pretty girl, but she's not much for screen charisma and simply won't cut it for a larger-than-life role. They would need to cast someone who can really beam the with the right kind of personality and who they can fashion into an iconic onscreen beauty.

I'm surprised no one has said Gina Carano. Give her a few acting lessons,and she's nearly a perfect fit. She knows how to fight, attractive (at least to me) and she somewhat looks like Diana already.
